Football star leaves field in tears after being the victim of racism with rival fans making monkey noise at him

28-year-old Everton Luiz, Partizan Belgrade's midfielder, was left in tears after being racially abused by rival fans during a game against local rivals, Rad. All through the game, Rad fans kept making monkey noises each time Luiz was with the ball.

At some point during the match, the Rad fans unveiled a banner with content which was insulting to Luiz, causing the game to be halted and a warning issued, however, this did not deter the racist fans who continued with mocking the Brazilian star.

By the time the game was over, Luiz couldn't take it anymore and he made a one-fingered gesture at the rival fans as he left the field, crying, in spite of the fact that his team, Partizan, won the game 1-0.

A teary Luiz revealed to reporters that he suffered abuse all through the match and that upset him, but what was more upsetting was that home players supported it.

He was eventually consoled by his team's goalkeeper, Filip Kljajic. Partizan coach, Marko Nikolic, hinted that Luiz was likely to face disciplinary action for the way he reacted to the racist abuse, though he acknowledged that Rad fans were at fault and should also be punished. Nikolic said:

"Everton should not have reacted but something provoked his outburst, didn't it?"

Photo: Dubai-bound trader arrested at Abuja airport excretes 73 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.699kgs

Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 49-year-old trader for attempting to smuggle 1.699kg of cocaine to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The arrest was made at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) Abuja when the passenger, Nwafor Samson Tochukwu tested positive for narcotic ingestion during the outward screening of an Ethiopian airline flight.

NDLEA commander at the Abuja airport, Hamisu Lawan said that Nwafor excreted seventy-three (73) wraps of whitish substance that tested positive to cocaine weighing 1.699kgs under observation.

"The Abuja airport command of the Agency arrested one Nwafor Samson Tochukwu who tested positive for drug ingestion during routine check on Ethiopian airline passengers. He was immediately placed under observation where he excreted 73 wraps of cocaine that weighed 1.699kgs" Hamisu stated.
The suspect who hails from Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State said that he was offered the sum of one million, five hundred thousand naira to smuggle the drugs.
"I live in Lagos with my wife and five children. I got myself into drug trafficking because of economic hardship. They offered me a million, five hundred thousand naira to smuggle the drugs to Dubai. I thought it will be easy for me to go undetected but I was arrested in the process" Nwafor lamented.
Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah (retd.) called on members of the public to be cautious of the evil plan by drug trafficking organisations to ruin their destinies.
"Members of the public should not fall into the trap of drug trafficking organisations who are on the prowl of drug mules. They entice them with money to smuggle drugs but will not tell them that they will be caught in the process and sent to prison. Unfortunately, most drug couriers end up regretting after they have been caught. The Agency will continue to sensitise members of the public on the consequences of drug trafficking but individuals must take personal responsibility in the fight against drug trafficking" he stated.
Section 11 subsection (b) of the NDLEA Act, Cap N30 Laws of the Federation, 2004 states that any person who without lawful authority export, transports or otherwise traffics in the drugs popularly known as cocaine, LSD heroin or any other similar drugs shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to be sentenced to imprisonment for life. Meanwhile, the suspect will soon be charged to court.

See how Twitter users helped a guy land his dream prom date

A guy just got his dream girl to be his prom date after he got help from Twitter users. The young man asked a sophisticated girl what it would take for her to agree to go to prom with him and she replied him saying he'll need 3,000 retweets, probably thinking he may not get that much, but he got more.

The guy promptly came on Twitter and, sharing screenshots from their chat, pleaded with his followers to help retweet the chat and instead of the 3,000 retweets he needed to land his dream date, he got 4.8K retweets.

The young man has only 478 followers, yet he was able to get retweets from users more than ten times the number of his followers. Lucky guy!

'Four more years'- Arsene Wenger hints at staying at Arsenal despite fans disgust and anger

Arsenal suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat at Bayern Munich last week upping the pressure from fans of the club, for manager, Arsene Wenger to retire after over 20 years at the club.

But Wenger despite growing calls from top sports analysts and stakeholders to retire, says he doesn't feel like retiring as he is only 67 and Man U manager, Sir Alex Ferguson retired at the age of 71, a statement that'll surely rile Arsenal fans.

"Ferguson has some other interests in life and he was older [when he retired] than I am today," Wenger told reporters.
"He was four years older. He retired at 71 and I’m 67."When asked if he planned to coach Arsenal for four more years to match his old rival, he replied:

"Maybe more, maybe less, I don’t know. Everybody is different. I do not want to take anything away from Ferguson, he was an absolutely unbelievable manager, but he had enough. He had enough. And I’m not at that stage."
"No, it’s not a threat, not at all," he added. "My preference is always to manage Arsenal and I have shown that."I am adult enough to analyse the situation (poor results)," he said.Arsene Wenger started coaching Arsenal in 1996, but the last decade has seen Arsenal being branded a top four club, with major honors such as the premier league and champions league eluding them, and despite the millions being made by the club from player sales, ticketing and champions league revenue, fans still have to make do with trophies like the F.A cup once in a while

'Barcelona are into dark arts and one day someone will pay dearly for them' - Ronaldo warns as Messi's contract saga lingers

Brazilian football legend, Ronaldo da Lima has warned the directors at Barcelona football club to stop displaying 'dark arts' when they are involved in negotiations with top players, as that was one of the reasons he left the club in 1997, saying such fate could also befall them in Lionel Messi's current contract negotiations.

Lionel Messi, who is yet to agree a new deal with Barcelona, barely has 17 months left on his current Barcelona contract as he wishes to be paid higher than Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ronaldo, a former Barcelona player feels Barcelona wants to manipulate the situation so that he could be sold to the highest bidder just like they did to him in 1997.
He told Resenha on ESPN: "The experience [in Barcelona] was wonderful, but it was not possible to continue although that was not my fault.
"I had reached an agreement to renew my contract just a month before that season was over. But a week later, Barcelona's lawyer and president agreed that the contract was absurd, so they would accept the offer of any club that would pay my 29 million euro release clause."
He added:
"In Barcelona, even today, the club are into these dark arts in their negotiations. They act in a different way, for instance with the 'Neymar case'. I believe we still do not know what happened." here are many serious issues and someone is going to pay dearly for them."
Italian agent, Giovanni Branchini, who, along with Reinaldo Pitta and Alexandre Martins, acted as the representative of Ronaldo, recently recalled the tense negotiations with FC Barcelona when they wanted to renew his contract.
"Ronaldo had no intention of leaving Barcelona. He was comfortable there. The city was beautiful, he had completed a great first season and had become world renowned at the age of just 20."
'Before Christmas of 1996, the Barcelona directors wanted to tie him down to a more secure deal, eliminating the release clause in his contract which would allow him to leave for a certain amount of money. The problem was that, as the law was drawn up, it was the worker that had to pay out of their pocket to resolve their contract."
''We were able to insert a clause which stated that the Brazilian reserved the right to go to any club which paid the clause for him What we (i, Ronaldo and Barca) had agreed just three hours previously, was no longer true. I thought I was dreaming. In reality, I was in anguish.
'I knew I had to do my job until the end, and that meant breaking the work relationship with a club such as the glorious Barcelona.'I went back to the hotel with Pitta and Martins after midnight, and after a furious argument with a lawyer and the club president.
'The vice-president Gaspart, who knew we were serious, tried until the end to leave the negotiation open, but the proverbial arrogance of Barcelona made any agreement impossible", concludes Branchini.
''When Ronaldo found out, he was very resentful about how they acted during the months of negotiations. From that moment, Barça became a part of his past"

'I'll never be friends with him again'- Drake breaks his silence on Meek Mill beef, Nicki Minaj's reunion, Kanye West & Jay-Z (video)

In a new interview with Ovo Sound Radio, rapper, Drake, has spilled out on his beef with Meek Mill, his 'reunion' with Nicki Minaj and issues with Kanye West and Jay-Z. In the long interview, Drake said he'll never be friends again with Meek Mill and that he always writes majority of his own songs.

He also addressed Kanye West's rants about him ditching Jay-z's Tidal to work with Apple's Itunes.
“Meek Mill at the time, due to some issue with Nicki [Minaj] or whatever it was, decided to create a narrative that I don’t write my own music because that was what was convenient for him at the time,” Drake told DJ Semtex on Ovo Radio..

“The reason why I never felt necessarily pressured to sit down and defend myself right away, or go do an interview, [was] because anybody that’s been in any room with me knows first of all knows that I am one of the best writers, period. That is what I do,” Drake explained. “That is what I’m known for. I go and write for other people. I write my biggest songs, my biggest hits; the massive majority of my catalogue has all been written solely by me, which is a big feat, because music is a collaborative process.”

“You can interview Meek and ask him if he thinks it was worth it, I bet he’ll tell you ‘no,’” he said.
And Drake doesn’t think the issue had anything to do with not tweeting about Meek’s album.
“Unfortunately, on display for the world, that was a terrible impulsive decision because you weren’t ready,” he said of Meek.

“And in my mind I study the game, and also I’m a very calculated thinker, I’m sitting here thinking you’re ready. I’m thinking this goes so high up that I’m about to see the craziest sh*t I had ever seen. I didn’t know who was going to be on a diss track with him, or what he had ready. I’m thinking this is like three months in the making and I’m getting blindsided.”

“I knew I had to retaliate because I realized he was unprepared,” he explained. “When you realize someone is unprepared you have to strike.”

Although Drake retaliated with “Back to Back, he made it clear that the goal wasn’t to disrespect Nicki Minaj “in any way.”
“You know how good I am at writing music but you really tried to spin the entire narrative of my career, but like end my life and take food from my family and really end it all,” said Drizzy.
“And you didn’t even do it through music you just tweeted. It was like sickening to me. I had to really get revenge on that situation. I respect revenge when it’s warranted and that was warranted.
“It’s not something that I’m proud of because it took just as much of an emotional toll on me — I mean, maybe not as much as it did on him — but it took an emotional toll on me,” he admitted. “It was just a lot. You always gotta hear about it, even just seeing people get so riled up off negativity. It didn’t feel great. It was what had to happen at the time.”

'Suppressing free press is how dictators get started'- Sen. McCain slams Donald Trump on his media criticism

Senator John McCain has slammed U.S President Donald Trump's attacks on mainstream media this week, saying dictatorship like that carried out by Saddam Hussein and Adolph Hitler "gets started by suppressing free press."

Last week, Trump blasted the mainstream media, accusing reporters of distorting facts to help special interests.

"Many of our nation's reporters and folks will not tell you the truth and will not treat you with the respect you deserve," Trump said. "Much of the media in Washington, D.C., along with New York, Los Angeles in particular, speaks for the special interests and for those profiting off the obviously very, very broken system. The press has become so dishonest that if we don’t talk about it, we are doing a tremendous disservice to the American people. The press is out of control, the level of dishonesty is out of control."Sen. McCain of Arizona, who belongs to Trump's same Republican party blasted Trump's criticism and constant attacks on 'free press'.

"I hate the press. I hate you especially," McCain joked. "But the fact is we need you. We need a free press. We must have it. It's vital." "If you want to preserve — I'm very serious now — if you want to preserve democracy as we know it, you have to have a free and many times adversarial press," McCain said. "And without it, I am afraid that we would lose so much of our individual liberties over time. That's how dictators get started." "They get started by suppressing free press," McCain said of dictators. "In other words, a consolidation of power when you look at history, the first thing that dictators do is shut down the press. And I'm not saying that President Trump is trying to be a dictator. I'm just saying we need to learn the lessons of history."Watch the video below..
