Piers Morgan, 55, verbally attacked the Kardashian family following the announcement their reality show is coming to an end.

Discussing the news on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, September 9, the host who went from being a friend of the Kardashians to a critic of theirs, said the show's poor ratings must be the reason for the cancellation.

He went on to claim that Kim Kardashian would have been pleased by her husband, Kanye West's recent mental health episodes as it would provide content for upcoming seasons if they had continued.

Bringing up the announcement that Keeping Up With The Kardashians is ending after 14 years, Piers pretended to be in tears over the cancellation as he and his co-host Susanna Reid looked back at a montage from the reality show.

Susanna Reid said the Kardashian clan look different now from when the show started in 2007 and Piers chipped in, "Could it be a plastic surgeon by any chance?"

He continued: "A bunch of very average looking dumbo bimbos have taken us all to the cleaners and made billions out of prancing around and doing this.

"They have taken us to the cleaners. Not a brain cell between them."

Discussing Kim's recent career change as she studies to become a lawyer, Piers scoffed: "She's become a paralegal she tells us.

"She latches onto crowd pleasing stories of injustice. Nothing wrong with that, if she'd done that from the start we would all probably have more respect with her."

Reflecting on their friendship and famous falling out, he said: "I got on fine with her at the start but I fell out with her when she got into that nonsensical stuff where she posed topless with Emily Ratajkowski and flipped the bird and said 'look at us we're feminists'. I thought 'oh shut up'.

"From there it's been a very long, tortuous journey. They're not feminists. They're just people making billions and showing us every tiny, slithering detail of their gory little private lives.

"They haven't done this [cancelled the show] because they're tired of showing us about their lives. It's the ratings."

Susanna brought up Kim Kardashian's husband, Kanye West's recent public mental breakdown and said it might be the reason for the show's cancellation.

Susanna said, "I wonder if what Kanye's been through they've had a moment of soul searching? That selling your personal life constantly is probably not a great idea."

Piers replied: "No. It's about the ratings. She had Kanye's meltdown down as season 18!"

Mimicking Kim as he rubbed his hands with glee, he squealed: "Kanye's having an episode, whap-a-woo that's season 19 sewn up!"

Later in the show, Piers went on to brand the Kardashian clan "talentless" and "vacuous" in another scathing putdown.

'It would be an insult to our country if Kamala Harris becomes the first female US president' - Donald Trump

Donald Trump on Tuesday night, told his cheering supporters during a rally in North Carolina that 'the economy will collapse' if Joe Biden is elected in November, and that it will be an insult if Kamala Harris becomes the US' first female president.

Harris, who has black and Asian heritage, is on the ticket as Biden's vice-president pick, and with Biden's health an issue most political analysts say Harris might be the next president if Biden wins.

Speaking in Winston-Salem on Tuesday night, September 8, the president said;

"People don't like her. Nobody likes her. She could never be the first women president of the US. That would be an insult to our country,"

"Harris is talking about disparaging a vaccine so that people don't think the achievement was a great achievement," he said.

Further attacking Kamala Harris, Trump said that it was interesting that Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden picked her as his running mate in the upcoming elections even after she "left the race" to be the president.

'Biden's plan is to appease the domestic terrorists. My plan is to arrest them,' he said.

Trump said before China sent 'the plague' he was 'sailing through an easy election'.

"We signed a great trade deal (with China) but the ink was not dry when the plague (COVID-19) came in so I view that trade deal much differently than I did before," he added.

Trump vowed that, with him as president, 'we will live by the timeless words of our motto: in God we trust.'

He said that Biden was determined to unleash a culture war and rewrite America's history.

'You had a president who apologized for America,' he said, referencing Obama.

'Now you have a president who stands up for America.'

Huge cheers went up when he spoke about the fines he had introduced for defacing monuments and statues, in light of the George Floyd protests

'Joe Biden is weak, and he is always caving to China,' he said.

Referencing the border wall between Mexico and the Southern part of the US- a key 2016 campaign promise - Trump insisted Mexico was paying for it.

'Mexico is paying for the wall,' he said. 'Even though they don't say it.

'We're going to put a toll booth at the border. And maybe do something with remittances,' he said.

'We ended catch and release, stopped asylum fraud, and deported 20,000 gang members,' he said.

'We invested $2.5 trillion in the U.S. military and gave our great warriors a big pay rise.'

'You better elect me, North Carolina,' the president said, to chants of 'four more years'.

Trump promised to 'make America wealthy again, make America strong again, make America proud again, make America safe again, and make America great again.

Forbes releases definitive ranking of the 10 wealthiest Americans over the past decade (video)

Forbes has released its 2020 definitive ranking of the wealthiest Americans over the past decade.

The aggregate wealth of the list is $3.2 trillion, up 8% from a year ago and a record in the four decades Forbes has tracked the richest Americans’ fortunes. A record 233 U.S billionaires did not make the cut this year, falling short of the $2.1 billion minimum needed to make the list.

Jeff Bezos, CEO and founder of Amazon remains in the top spot on the 2020 Forbes 400 list for the third consecutive year. Bezos’ fortune of $179 billion, as of July 24, 2020, is up 57% from last year.  He also also reached a record-breaking $200 billion, becoming the first person in history to cross this milestone.

There were 25 drop-offs who made the 2019 list but fell off this year’s ranking; ten of those were due in part to setbacks related to the Covid-19 outbreak. There are 18 newcomers on this year’s list including: Eric Yuan, CEO of Zoom Video Communications, with a net worth of $11 billion; Jim Koch, cofounder and chairman of the Boston Beer Company, producer of Samuel Adams Beer, with a net worth of $2.6 billion; and at age 38 the youngest newcomer, Trevor Milton, founder of electric and hydrogen-electric truck maker Nikola.

Donald Trump’s ranking dropped to No. 352 from 275 in 2019, and his net worth dropped to $2.5 billion from last year’s $3.1 billion, as the value of office buildings, hotels and resorts have taken a hit amid the pandemic.

The Forbes 400 magazine issue also features five consecutive covers, including: Netflix co-CEO Reed Hastings, Asana CEO Dustin Moskovitz, entertainment mogul Tyler Perry, biotech billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong and impact investor Amy Novogratz.

Here is a video of the definitive rankings below;

Soccer star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has compared football without fans to going to a circus and not seeing clowns after he scored both goals in Portugal's 2-0 win over Sweden on Tuesday night, September 9 but had no fans to celebrate with him.

The match against Sweden was played behind closed doors as the Coronavirus pandemic means fans cannot attend games in most regions across Europe,

Ronaldo, now the second highest goalscorer in international football with 101 goals, described the lack of supporters as a crucial missing piece of the football game.

"There is no need to regret, when I do something I like to be whistled because it gives me chills. But health comes first, if the WHO says that these aren't safe conditions, that's it. The most important thing is the human being," Ronaldo told RTP post-match.

"Playing without fans is like going to the circus and not seeing clowns," the 35-year-old said.

"It’s like going to the garden and not seeing flowers."

Portugal have now won both of their Nations League matches and sit top of group three in league A with a goal difference advantage over France .

We have paid N20bn COVID-19 allowance to health workers - Minister of state for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora

We have paid N20bn COVID-19 allowance to health workers - Minister of state for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora

Olorunnumbe Mamora, the Minister of State for Health, says the Federal Government has paid up to N20bn as COVID-19 inducement allowance to doctors and health workers in the country.

Mamora made this known when he appeared as a guest on Channels TV on Wednesday, September 9.

Recall that on Monday, September 7, resident doctors embarked on a strike action due to some unfulfilled promises made to them by the Federal government. One of which is the payment of COVID-19 inducement allowances as well as the payment of medical residency training funding, amongst others. The doctors claim they haven't been paid.

However during his interview, Mamora said it would be unfair for the doctors to claim they haven't received any thing as COVID-19 allowance. According to him, the Federal government has so far disbursed N20 billion as COVID-19 allowance.

“We have been able to pay the COVID-19 inducement allowance because we had to suspend the hazard allowance for this period so that we can go into renegotiation after.

We are now paying starting from 50 per cent of the basic of the workers depending on where the point of operation is. We were able to pay April, May full, June, part of it has been paid but not fully paid and it’s because of the economic situation and these funds have to be sourced for one way or the other.

We’ve been able to disbursed close to N20bn and I repeat close to 20bn. So, to now say nothing has been done, that is not true.”she said

Addressing the grievance of the doctors over the insurance package for health workers who die in the line of duty, Mamora said,

“Every worker in the Federal Civil Service is entitled to the Group Life Insurance Scheme which is domiciled in the office of the head of Civil Service of the Federation.

We discussed this in our previous engagements with the doctors and we did say that you need to come up with this information and all the relevant officials, particularly in the office of the head of Civil Service of the Federation were present so that they (doctors) will know who to direct all these things to.

What we just do in the ministry of health is the supervision of the process. So, when a health worker dies and he was an employee of the Federal Government, the information comes to us, goes to our Human Resources Directorate and it is processed. Ours is to do a follow-up but the office of the head of Civil Service will get these things done because they are the one that interface with insurance companies because it is a group of insurance companies that manage this process.

But what we have discovered is that some of the time, the appropriate information is not made available. For example, we have asked the various federal tertiary hospitals to come up with their nominal role so we know who is on that list and stands to benefit in the event that death, unfortunately, happens. We made that clear and the doctors said they now understand better.”
