'Where is Abba Kyari?' - Lola Omotayo-Okoye tackles Lagos Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi (video)

Lola Omotayo-Okoye, wife of singer Peter Okoye, last night posted a video on Instagram in which she asked the Commissioner for Health in Lagos state, Professor Akin Abayomi, to reveal the whereabouts of president Buhari's Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, who is currently in Lagos to treat himself for Coronavirus.

Abba Kyari tested positive for COVID-19 last week and on Sunday March 29th, was moved from Abuja to Lagos for treatment.

The Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Professor Abayomi at a recent press briefing, said he has no knowledge of the whereabouts of Kyari in the state. Trump passes second coronavirus test

President Donald Trump has again tested negative for Coronavirus as confirmed on Thursday's White House press briefing on coronavirus developments.

In a memo distributed by press secretary Stephanie Grisham just before the daily White House coronatask force briefing, it was gathered that the US President was tested by White House physician Sean Conley.

The memo read;

"This morning, the President was tested again for Covid-19, utilizing a new rapid point-of-care test capability. He is healthy and without symptoms."

President Trump also confirmed he underwent a second test and got his test result in 15 minutes. He was tested using "a new, rapid point-of-care test capability".

Holding up the memo, the US President said;

"I took the new test, which provides results in 15 minutes really out of curiosity to see how quickly it worked, how fast it worked.

"I did take a test. It just came out, this is from the White House physician. I just took it this morning.

"And I took it, it took me literally a minute to take it and it took me -- I guess it was 14 or 15 minutes (for results). I went to work, I didn't wait for it, but it said it took 14 minutes or something with a conclusion and it said the President tested negative for Covid-19."

Trump also tested negative in mid-March, when multiple White House officials were self-isolating and Trump had been in contact with a number of people who either got coronavirus or were in contact with people who did.

Lack of adequate test kits has bedeviled the Trump administration's response to the coronavirus, making it hard for public health officials and scientists to track the spread of the disease and see where hotspots are popping up. In response, federal health officials approved a coronavirus test last month that can provide results in less than 15 minutes, using the same technology that powers some rapid flu tests.

Thursday's press conference came after more than a million cases of the virus was confirmed worldwide.

Coronavirus: Indian couple name their newborn twins 'Corona' and 'Covid' (Photo)

An Indian couple have reportedly named their newborn twins ‘Corona’ and ‘Covid’ despite the havoc caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The two words, ‘Corona’ and ‘Covid’ were derived from the Coronavirus (COVID-19), a deadly disease that broke out from Wuhan in China.

The couple from Chhattisgarh who welcomed the twins during the ongoing coronavirus-enforced nationwide lockdown decided to name them ‘Corona’ and ‘Covid’ because the kids symbolise triumph over hardships.

According to the couple, the names would remind them about all the hardships they conquered amid the lockdown.

“ I was blessed with the twins, a boy and a girl, in the early hours on March 27. We have named them Covid (boy) and Corona (girl) for now,” Preeti Verma, the 27-old mother of the newborns, said:

“The delivery happened after facing several difficulties and therefore, me and my husband wanted to make the day memorable.

“Indeed the virus is dangerous and life-threatening but its outbreak made people focus on sanitation, hygiene and inculcate other good habits. Thus, we thought about these names,” she said, giving reasons for their unusual decision.

“When the hospital staff also started calling the babies as Corona and Covid, we finally decided to name them after the pandemic,” she said.

Speaking on the challenges she and her husband faced before she welcomed her twin children, Verma said:

“On late night of March 26, I suddenly experienced severe labour pain and somehow my husband arranged an ambulance operated under 102 Mahtari Express service.

“As no vehicular movement was allowed on roads due to the lockdown, we were stopped by police at various places but they let us go after noticing my condition,” Ms.Verma said.

“I was wondering what would happen in the hospital as it was midnight, but fortunately doctors and other staff were very cooperative,” she said.

“Our relatives, who wanted to reach the hospital, could not make it as bus and train services were stopped due to the lockdown,” said Verma, who already has a two-year-old daughter.

Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the hospital, Shubhra Singh said, the mother and the newborns were discharged recently and they were in good health.

Within 45 minutes of their arrival, the delivery was done successfully,” the PRO said.

Youtube star, Jeffree Star and Kourtney Kardashian's 10-year-old son, Mason Disick clash

Khloe Kardashian's son, Mason Disick joined Instagram for only a short time before his parents took down his account but the effects of his actions while on the platform lingers on.

While speaking with fans on an unauthorized Instagram Live last month, 10-year-old Mason remarked to TikTok star Addison Rae, 19, that "Jeffree Star is spoiled AF."

The statement Mason made about YouTuber Jeffree Star, 34, went unnoticed by most until a fan account posted the video online on April 1.

YouTuber Jeffree Star, 34, has now lashed out at the 10-year-old for his statement.

Jeffree responded to Mason's comments in a now-deleted tweet, writing, "I had $500 in my bank account six years ago … Maybe he's confused with his own privilege versus mine being self-made, hopefully his father can educate him soon!"

This is not the first time Jeffree has had an issue with a member of the Kardashian family.

The YouTuber has been criticizing fellow beauty mogul Kylie Jenner and her products on Twitter for years.

Back in 2016, during an interview with Racked, Jeffree insisted Kylie wasn't properly researching her products. At the time, Jeffree said on Twitter he felt Kylie's lip kit wands were of poor quality.

Discussing his Twitter comments about Kylie, Jeffree told Racked: "She found a lab that makes a $5 formula and they're called Colourpop. They gave her the same exact one with her name on it and charged $20 more. I'm bored.

"If the product didn't suck, I wouldn't have anything to say, I was just being honest and I had no idea it was going to get so big."

Also, after Kylie was named by Forbes as the youngest self-made billionaire last year, Dictionary.com tweeted, "Haven't we gone over this? Self-made: Having succeeded in life unaided."

Jeffree, who has an estimated net worth of $200 million, shadily commented: "I declined the feature so they had to pick someone…"

Below is the video of Mason calling out Jeffree Star.

Akwa Ibom Coronavirus cases are mostly healthcare professionals – Governor Emmanuel Udom finally accepts results after tackling NCDC

Governor Emmanuel Udom has finally accepted the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) test result which disclosed that 5 people tested positive for Coronavirus in Akwa Ibom State.

Recall that the Akwa Ibom state government in a statement issued on Thursday April 2, by its Commissioner for Health Dominic Ukpong, countered NCDC’s announcement. They demanded for another test be conducted on the cases.

Governor Emmanuel however accepted the result in his Thursday broadcast. He revealed that the affected persons who are mostly healthcare professionals, have been moved to the isolation centres in the state “for proper management”.

The Governor who disclosed that they have started the process of tracing people who may have come in contact with the affected persons, also announced a total lockdown of the state for 14 days to enable health workers carry out the contact-tracing successfully.

He said;

“A little over a week ago, I had cause to address you concerning the state of affairs in our dear state as it has to do with the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic across the globe.

“I told you at that time that there was no confirmed case of COVID-19 in the state. That information at that time was correct, we had a few suspected cases that showed symptoms of the disease and had taken samples and sent them to the approved NCDC testing facilities and they all came out at that time negative.

“However, just last night we watched on the news that five cases have been confirmed positive by the NCDC.

“Thankfully, this information, sad as it is, did not meet us unprepared. Just two days ago, I inspected facilities at one of the isolation centres we have prepared for possible cases such as now. This is in addition to the already existing one in Ikot Ekpene. And I can assure you that other facilities are being prepared for similar use should the need for it arises.

“There will be no movement of persons, except those on essential duties who must carry a proper means of identification on them at all times. All business premises, markets, shops, motor parks and offices except grocery shops and pharmacies, must remain closed during this period."

Nigeria can now test 1,500 people a day for Coronavirus - Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire

The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire has announced that Nigeria now has the capacity to test 1,500 people a day for coronavirus (COVID-19).

Ehanire disclosed this at Thursday’s briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja.

The Minister said;

“With the expanded national case definition and addition of two new laboratories to test for COVID-19 in Ibadan and Ebonyi States, the national testing capacity is now at 1,500 a day. I applaud all our health workers and emergency responders in this critical time.”

Ehanire also revealed that 71 per cent of 6,000 contacts have been traced and they have also intensified effort to reduce the numbers of suspected cases who have not been reached.

The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu disclosed that the health agency has deployed officials to 15 states to boost the fight against the spread of coronavirus.

He said;

“Yesterday (Wednesday) we conducted the highest number of COVID-19 tests and recorded the highest number of positive cases in Nigeria,” Ihekweazu said.

“We have also deployed 15 rapid response teams to support 15 states. This is the largest deployment of resources ever for an outbreak in Nigeria.”

Recall that the virology laboratory of the Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, Ebonyi which was activated for Coronavirus testing, brought the number of COVID-19 testing labs in Nigeria to seven.
