VIDEO: Bayomi – FIA (freestyle)
Rapper “Bayomi”  formerly known as “SplashJosh” who was born in Lagos, but spent most of his life in Detroit has his first work out in the year 2018.
In his words:
While some might say I took a break off music, I didn’t. I signed a management deal 2 years ago which allowed me to do some complete rebranding. I changed my name mostly because I wanted to be called something that had a meaning and something that embraces my culture. I wanted to be my real self, not a gimmick. I also have a logo for my brand and I now have my official website, which is up and running at bayomimusic.com, where you can purchase merchandise clothing and more etc.
FIA for me was the best song that came out in 2017 and till this day, it’s still on replay so it only makes sense to jump on the beat as a come back to the scene and to share the moment with Davido.
A new Mixtape is already done for later this year, more music videos are on the way as well.

VIDEO: Clay ft. Aramide – Queen B

Queen B” featuring Aramide is a Nigerian Alt-pop song of the EP Road Less Travelled. It is an expansive, Uptempo-infused pop/rock anthem between Aramide(Queen of soul) and Clay (The Rock goddess).
This song is about finding the inner ‘Queen’ , the strength that lies in every a woman if she’s really looks inside. Queen B conveys the message that what matters is how she sees herself irrespective of her situation or circumstances.
Produced by frequent collaborator “coldflamesbeats”
A return by one of Nigeria’s rock scene most famous characters, it’s catchy and radio-friendly, but also demonstrates thought and progress in the music being made.

Africans in Israel paint their faces white to avoid deportation

Africans in Israel have been given "deportation notices" and those who failed to leave were imprisoned at the Saharonim prison in the south of Israel.

To protest the deportation, inmates at the Holot prison in the Negev desert first embarked on a hunger strike. African migrants also went out into the streets, protesting in front of embassies like that of Rwanda, and hoping to pressure officials to end their expulsion.

Africans involved in the demonstration painted their faces white, suggesting they were being sent into danger because Israel didn’t believe their black lives mattered. The protesters carried placards on which was written words like, "Now I'm White. Will you deport me?", "Do Black lives matter?", and "Deported to death because I'm Black".

The government of Israel has proposed giving each migrant $3,500 to leave, with the option of going home or to a third country. If they don’t leave by end of March, migrants face indefinite incarceration. Immigration officials are also hiring civilian inspectors to help investigate and arrest the migrants.

Israel’s plan to return refugees has drawn criticism from human rights advocates both in and outside the country. Academics, activists, and prominent Israeli writers have called on prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to deport the asylum seekers, saying the nation has “no refugee problem.”

Sick! Turkish president tells crying 6-year-old girl in army uniform she will be honored if she’s killed while fighting for the country

The Turkish President has come under fire after he was filmed telling a 6-year-old crying girl that she would be honoured if she was killed while fighting for Turkey.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan was delivering a speech at his ruling party’s congress in the city of Kahramanmaras on Saturday when he spotted tearful six-year-old Amine Tiras. He asked for her to be brought on stage and when she joined him, he kissed her on the cheeks to comfort her.

He then said to the crowd: "She has the Turkish flag in her pocket. If she becomes a martyr, God willing, this flag will be draped on her."

People were outraged by Erdogan's statement and took to Twitter to criticise the president. One user said it was the state’s duty to protect children, not to "kill" them.

Another said: "you don’t wish death for a child, you never say: 'God willing'."

In recent weeks, children dressed in commando uniforms or reciting nationalist poems have been making appearances in many events attended by the president. Yasar Okutan, a former government minister, accused Erdogan in a television interview of using children to increase votes in presidential and local elections in 2019. He questioned whether the president would have made the statement about being "martyred" to his own granddaughter.

Greed, self-interest behind executive, legislature conflict'' VP Yemi Osinbajo says

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has attributed the disagreements between the executive and the legislature to greed, self-interest and hypocrisy. Speaking at a “Dialogue of Organs of Government on Reform of Justice Sector and Campaign Against Corruption” involving the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary organised by the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Justice which held at the State House Banquet Hall yesterday February 27th, Osinbajo said despite the principles of separation of powers, there were still tensions and conflicts among the arms of government, especially between the executive and the National Assembly.

“Various factors can be identified as the causes of conflicts between organs of government, especially between the legislature and executive who have to constantly interact in the course of discharging their respective constitutional duties. Conflicts could arise from misunderstanding of constitutional responsibilities, inordinate foray or venture by one organ into the territory of another organ, inordinate ambition or domineering attitude by one over others, power struggle, greed or self- interest, hypocrisy, lack of patriotism and corruption.”

The vice president, who was represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Ade Ipaye, said while absolute separation of powers may be unattainable, the three arms of government must cooperate to maintain a workable government.

“When this cooperation happens, it strengthens the democratic process, promotes good governance and responsible leadership, promotes transparency and accountability in governance, assists the executive to be focused and committed to delivering good governance to the citizens and helps the legislature to make efficient laws that will promote good governance and curb corruption,” he said.

Osinbajo said for there to be harmony, each arm must carry out the functions assigned to it by the Constitution effectively and within the limits of its power
