Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California

Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty was reportedly arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California.

Kenneth Petty was convicted of attempted rape in 1995. He was 16 years old at the time of the crime and served time in prison for the offense.

According to the felony complaint, Petty moved to California in July 2019 but did not register as a sex offender within five working days of moving.

Guidelines from New York State’s Sex Offender Registry indicate that an offender must notify the Division of Criminal Justice Services within 10 days of any change of address. However, Petty didn't do that when he moved to California.

Petty was reportedly pulled over in Beverly Hills in November 2019, at which point officials became aware that he had not registered as a sex offender in California.

According to TMZ, he was thereafter arrested and released on $20,000 bond. However, the L.A. County D.A. charged him for failing to register as a sex offender initially or after an address change.

But he didn’t follow up on that arrest, which is reportedly the reason he was arrested on March 4, 2020. TMZ reports that he turned himself in to the Marshals.

On Wednesday, the 41-year-old made his initial court appearance at 2 p.m., which included his bond hearing and arraignment.

Petty pleaded not guilty. He has since been released on a $100,000 bond.

"He is required to submit to electronic monitoring and his travel was restricted to Southern California," the U.S. Attorney's Office stated.

Acoording to TMZ, he is also reportedly required to adhere to a curfew, surrender his passport and is restricted from using drugs including marijuana from legal dispensaries in Los Angeles.

Petty will have a status conference on March 23 to determine the next steps in the trial, which will take place on April 28.

I caught my Husband having sex with a married woman who attends his mosque – Muslim cleric's wife tells Lagos court

A 44-year-old tailor, Rebecca Adeniyi, has asked an Igando Customary Court in Lagos, to dissolve her 15 year old marriage on grounds that she caught her Islamic cleric hubby, Yusuf Adeniyi, having sex with a married woman.

At the hearing of her petition on Wednesday March 4th, Rebecca said her hubby with whom she had four children, built a mosque and started sleeping with his female members both single and married.

“I caught him having sexual intercourse with one of our members’ wives. I grabbed the woman and tore her clothes. I raised alarm; he started begging me not to expose the woman because her husband may divorce her. Members stopped coming to our mosque because of his atrocities and he is now accusing me of chasing members away. My husband’s behaviour towards me changed after the incident. He no longer gives me money nor care for me.”

The aggrieved wife told the court that she believes she was under a spell throughout their marriage.

“I was under the influence of charm throughout my marriage with Yusuf but the wool was later lifted off my eyes five years ago. I decided to remain in the marriage because of my children,” the petitioner said.

When the charges were read to him, the 47-year-old cleric admitted sleeping with his mosque member but blamed it on the devil. He denied being fetish.

“Yes, I made love with my member but it was the devil that pushed me. I begged my wife to forgive me and that it would never repeat itself but she refused and raised the alarm.

It is my wife that is fetish. She frequently visited herbalists and came home with different substances, “ he said.

He accused his wife of having an affair with the husband of the married woman he had sex with.

“My wife is now living with the husband of the woman I had sexual intercourse with,” he said.

The Court President, Mr Adeniyi Koledoye, adjourned the case until March 20 for judgement.

Katy Perry is pregnant! She's expecting her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry is pregnant with her first child

The singer revealed this on Wednesday, March 4, in the music video for her new song "Never Worn White".

This will be Katy's first child though her fiance Orlando Bloom, 43, with whom she's expecting the child, is already a father to 9-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

Katy's new song is all about her fears of commitment, while at the same time singing about how ready she is for a life of happiness with another person.

During an Instagram Live after the music video premiered on YouTube, Perry confirmed her pregnancy, saying it is "probably the longest secret" she has "ever had to keep."

"I’m late," Katy Perry said after promising she’d be on Instagram Live after the video dropped. "But you already knew that."

Perry went on to reveal that her due date is sometime this summer.

"There’s a lot that will be happing this summer, not only will I be giving birth — literally — but also figuratively to something you guys have been waiting for," she said, referring to her upcoming album.

Perry added that she and Bloom can’t wait for the arrival of their little one.

"We’re excited and happy," she told her fans as she munched on some dried mango.

Perry also opened up about what she’s been craving during her secret pregnancy, sharing that she "literally never cared for spice and now I have to cary Tabasco sauce in my purse."

According to Page Six, Katy and Orlando are planning to marry in June. The pair are hoping to have their ceremony in Japan — which might be difficult to pull off if the coronavirus outbreak continues.

Update: Married nursery worker, 20, who had sex with a 13-year-old boy and had his baby, found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child

The 20-year-old married nursery worker who had sex with a 13-year-old boy and had his baby is now facing jail after being found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child.

Leah Cordice from Windsor, Berkshire, who started sleeping with the boy when she was 17 at that time falsely claimed that the teenager raped her but a jury at Reading Crown Court rejected her claims.

Following the verdict, a judge told the court that if Cordice was a male 'custody would be almost inevitable'.

Judge Peter Clarke QC then told the jury: 'I have got to consider a custodial sentence.

'To be sexist about this, if Leah was a young man of 17 years and the complainant was a 13-year-old girl, the sentence would be almost inevitable as far as custody is concerned.

'It is all very unfortunate for everyone, herself included, but I was struck, as I suspect you were, by her lack of self-awareness of what she was doing to the victim.

'It seems to me that one of the evils here is that, for the rest of his life, the victim will know that that baby girl is laying somewhere that he does not know about and that - I can say as a man - would be as scarring for a father as for a mother. That is a further matter I need to consider and the impact that it has had on him.'

He added: 'I need to know more about you and your present circumstances. You should understand that I have to be considering an immediate custodial sentence.'

According to Mail Online, the judge adjourned the case so that a probation report could be created about Cordice. She had sex with the boy twice a month for a period of time but the jury decided the affair had stopped before Cordice turned 18 years. They acquitted her of two other counts of sexual activity with a child which were alleged to have taken place when Cordice was 18.

The victim is expected to be in court with his parents to see Cordice sentenced next month.

Chinese nationals barred from leaving their apartments in Ogun

Chinese nationals have been barred from leaving their apartments by the Ogun State government in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the state.

Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Communications, Remmy Hazzan told newsmen that security agents were deployed to the apartment of “returning Chinese nationals" to ensure an effective "self isolation".

Hazzan expressed hope of the action stopping the possibility of any foreigner manifesting signs of coronavirus and not being noticed on time by health officials.

He said;

“What we have done is to effect self-isolation (of returning Chinese nationals) in the places where they live. We have them in quarries; some in farms and the estate in Ogun-Quandong Free Trade Zone, Igbesa, is 100 per cent Chinese.

“These nationals are isolated in these places. As a matter of fact, we have security officials manning the entrances to all these places to forestall any breach.

“We also have people running errands for them (Chinese) to forestall the likelihood of anyone trying to go into neighbouring towns.”

Transgender man demands right to be described to as the father of his child and not mother

A transgender man who has given birth wants to be described to as the father of his child and not the mother as written in the child's birth certificate.

Freddy McConnell, who is a multimedia journalist at The Guardian, says being referred to as a mother was psychologically scarring.

Back in September, a judge ruled against him, after a High Court trial in London, but he has launched an appeal with three appeal judges now considering the case.

At the September ruling, Sir Andrew McFarlane, the president of the Family Division of the High Court and most senior family court judge in England and Wales, ruled against Mr. McConnell.

He concluded that people who had given birth were legally mothers, regardless of their gender, and said there was a 'material difference between a person's gender and their status as a parent'.

But Lord Burnett, the Lord Chief Justice and most senior judge in England and Wales, Lady Justice King and Lord Justice Singh have started analyzing case at a Court of Appeal.

The hearing is due to finish today.

A barrister leading Mr McConnell's legal team told the three judges at the Court of Appeal there were 'clear reasons' why her client should have won the High Court fight.

'Notwithstanding the complexity of the arguments and the issues engaged, there were clear reasons why the claim ought to have succeeded and why (Mr McConnell) ought to have been declared the father or parent of (the child), not the mother,' Hannah Markham QC stated in a written argument.

'It is submitted that the learned judge fell into error in determining the term 'mother' not to be a gendered term.'

She said Sir Andrew had failed to consider whether the current birth registration system was 'fit for purpose'.

'The learned judge was wrong to focus on giving birth as the determining issue when deciding parental role described in an administrative document,' she added.

'In identifying that the issue, in this case, raised important matters of public interest and that there was a pressing need for the government to challenge square on the status of a trans-male person who has become pregnant and given birth to a child, the learned judge ought to have declared where the current law fails to recognise those rights.
