Oscars 2019: Full winners list












Last night, celebs didn't know what to expect at 2019 Oscars as it was the first ceremony in 30 years without a host.



The evening however concluded with the awards spread around; every Best Picture nominee earned at least one trophy, and 15 movies in all earned the 24 awards while Green Book, won Best Picture in addition to two other awards: Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali, and Original Screenplay.



Bohemian Rhapsody earned the most Oscars overall, with four, including Lead Actor for Rami Malek, who played Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. The movie has come under fire for its treatment of Mercury’s sexuality.





Lady Gaga broke down after winning an Oscar for best original song



Green Book’s three Oscars were matched by Roma and Black Panther. Roma’s Alfonso Cuarón won Best Director and Cinematography, making him the first director in Oscars history to take home both of those prizes. The film also won Best Foreign Language Feature.

Oil magnate, Ifeanyi Uba, wins senatorial election












The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared oil magnate and chairman of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi Ubah, as the winner of the Anambra South senatorial election held on Saturday.

Uba who contested on the platform of the Young Progressives Party YPP, defeated the incumbent Senator, Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress in the keenly contested election.

The electoral seat has hitherto been won by the Uba brothers since 1999.

Stella Oduah wins Anambra North Senatorial district election












The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared former Minister of Aviation, Sen. Stella Oduah winner of the Anambra North Senatorial District conducted on Saturday February 23rd.



Announcing the result, the INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Hugh Maduka, said Oduah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 113,989 votes to defeat her closest rival, Emmanuel Chinedu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who came second with 59,937 votes and Nelson Onubogu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged third with 11,995 votes.



Reacting to the outcome of the election, Oduah attributed her victory to God

Saraki retweets motivational messages sent to him by Nigerians after losing Senate seat

















Following his loss at the Kwara Central senatorial district elections, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, appears to be taking succour from Nigerians via the motivational messages they are sending him via twitter.



His supporters stormed his twitter handle to celebrate him for standing tall despite the challenges he experienced while in the senate. See the various motivational messages he has retweeted so far below...

American actor and filmmaker, Bradley Cooper attended Sunday's Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles with the two leading ladies in his life.



The 44-year-old actor arrived at the 91st Academy Awards in Hollywood with his partner, supermodel Irina Shayk, 33, and his Italian-American mother, Gloria Campano.





The trio rocked coordinated black ensembles to the star-studded award.

Talking to ET on the red carpet, Bradley admitted his mother was feeling 'nervous'.

'They're all right here,' he said. 'My mom's here, Irina's here. My mother's a wreck. She's so nervous.'

Tonto Dikeh has called out a man and his mistress - an actress - for travelling to Dubai to frolick while the man's wife is in Nigeria.



According to Tonto, the actress and the man's wife are best friends but this didn't stop the couple from carrying on their affair.



Tonto threatened to call names if those guilty dare to call her phone.
