Photos: Pretty young Nigerian lady dies from malaria

Sochima Amanda Iloka, a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka died yesterday after a brief illness.

According to friends on Facebook, the deceased popularly known as "Soch Money" suffered from malaria before her death. See a post by one of her friends below:

"RIP SENIOR SOCHIMA ILLOKA, a.k.a SOCH MONEY
She was my senior in secondary school then, she left this world yesterday after a brief illness (Malaria), MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE AMEN. It is really a sad news that a young lady with a bright future like her died but the truth is that no one can reject death, I have been thinking about her demise since yesterday, I was saying that "she is too young to die", then I remembered that there are some people that are more younger than her that are no more. This is just to remind us that we are on a journey in this world, no matter what we are doing on earth, let us keep in mind that no one knows his or her date of death, some people would be wondering how an ordinary malaria can kill someone, my dear, if God says it's over, an ordinary sneeze can take you away, her death really touched me and it shows that we are nothing on this earth, we are dust and we shall return to where we belong, only the spirit will go for judgment. Let us not relent in being careful the way we live our life, everyday is not Christmas, one day you might wake up and see your body lying on the bed and you can't go back to it, death is a respecter of no one, if you like be rich, poor, beautiful, ugly, it doesn't matter, what matters is where we would spend our life eternally. BE CAREFUL HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE! NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE NEXT SECOND!! REST IN PEACE DEAR SOCH...None expected it so soon.

Just 10 days after, Anthony Scaramucci has been removed as White House communications director

Donald Trump's White House has got to be the craziest in history. People are being fired and hired on a weekly basis. Looks like accepting a position in the white house is a career killer. White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci is out of the job after less than 10 days into the post.

The former financier, who took the job last Friday, had drawn criticism after calling a reporter to give a profanity-laced tirade against his colleagues.

The decision to let him go was reportedly made by President Trump's new chief of staff, John Kelly.

Scaramucci is the third White House communications director to leave the post that had been vacant since May, when Mike Dubke left after about three months on the job. Sean Spicer, the former White House press secretary, also assumed some of the communications director role before he resigned when Scaramucci was hired on July 21.

Men Must Resist The Practice Of 'blessers' (sugar Daddy) And Prostituting Young Women'' - South Africa's Deputy President, Ramaphosa

South African Deputy President, Cyril Ramaphosa, spoke about the need for men to organise themselves in a sustained campaign against gender-based violence. He also advised men to stop objectifying women and resist the practice of prostituting young women.

Speaking at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg during a special sermon on no violence against women and children‚ Ramaphosa said that just as had been done during the apartheid struggle all sectors of society needed to be mobilised against this scourge.

“In working to end violence against women and children‚ we need to ensure that men are centrally involved" he said.

"Men need to organise themselves in a sustained campaign against gender-based violence. Individually and collectively‚ they need to understand that their actions now will determine the kind of society our children live in tomorrow‚”

Ramaphosa said‚ adding that society must combat the objectification of women.

“We should reject the idea of women as possessions of men and resist the practice of ‘blessers’ and prostituting young women.

“We must help women reclaim agency over their lives and bodies. The time has come for all of us to speak with one voice and take a stand.

"Just as we did during the apartheid struggle we must mobilise all sectors of society against this scourge. The Church must take responsibility‚ men must take responsibility and I must take responsibility.

“By becoming agents of change‚ men can not only help liberate women from oppression but also liberate themselves as perpetrators of inhumane savagery‚” Ramaphosa added.

Sad: Newborn Twins And Their 21 Month Old Sister Orphaned After Their Mother Dies The Same Day As Their Father’s Funeral

Tragedy struck a young and beautiful family twice within weeks. On July 11th, young father, 26 year old Jevaughn Suckoo was shot and killed at the Renaissance Apartments, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

3 days later, his girlfriend Stephanie Caceres, 24, who was pregnant with their twins, gave birth to beautiful and healthy twins, Jevaughn Junior, and Lailah.

Stephanie took to Facebook to post about the loss of her boyfriend the day after giving birth.

“I just don’t understand how someone can have the heart to leave three kids without a father especially two that never got the chance to even meet him,” she posted. “They didn’t deserve this! I’m trying I really am to stay strong but this has to be the toughest battle I’ve ever had to fight.”

2 days after the child birth, Stephanie suffered complications from an infection that resulted from her C-section and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. After 10 long, hard days of fighting for her life, Stephanie succumbed to the infection and lost the fight on July 26th, the same day as Suckoo’s funeral.

The couple already had a 21 month old daughter, Kailanie Suckoo.

Suddenly the newborn twins and 21-month old Kailanie are without parents.

"Just complete shock, completely devastated," said Joni Saunders, aunt of 26-year old , the man who was killed.

Saunders was joined on Thursday, by Irma Meza, mother of 24-year old Stephanie Caceres, the woman who died.

Saunders and Meza spoke at the doctor's office in Lake Clarke Shores, where Caceres worked.

The women said they were dealing with the sudden deaths of their loved ones, and the challenge now of caring for the couple's three small children.

"I think right now we're just very focused on the children, making sure that they're okay," said Saunders.

Saunders said the toddler adored her father.

"He walks into the room, and nobody else existed for her," said Saunders. "Same thing with Stephanie. She was such a dedicated mom."

Meza explained she's diabetic, and said Stephanie always told her she would take care of her. Meza said she never she imagined Stephanie not being around, and Meza would be the one providing care for the children.

At the doctor's office, diapers, formula and other items collected for the children, took up a large portion of a medical supply room.

A GoFundMe account was created for the children and over $98k have been raised for them. Plus, several people donated lots of baby food, diapers, clothers etc for the children and their upkeep.

Saunders and Meza said they are overwhelmed by the outpouring from the community.

Police have yet to make any arrests in the shooting death of their father.

Russia Expels 755 US Diplomats In Response To Sanctions

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expelled 755 US diplomatic staff in response to the sanctions placed on them by the US, adding that Moscow could consider additional measures against Washington as a response to new U.S. sanctions approved by Congress.

Moscow ordered the United States on Friday to cut hundreds of diplomatic staff and said it would seize two U.S. diplomatic properties after the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate overwhelmingly approved new sanctions on Russia. The White House said on Friday that U.S. President Donald Trump would sign the sanctions bill.

Putin said in an interview with Vesti TV released on Sunday that the United States would have to cut its diplomatic and technical staff by 755 people by Sept. 1.

"Because more than 1,000 workers - diplomats and support staff - were working and are still working in Russia, 755 must stop their activity in the Russian Federation," he said.

The new U.S. sanctions were partly a response to conclusions by U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, and to punish Russia further for its annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014.

Russia's response suggested it had set aside initial hopes of better ties with Washington under Trump, something the Republican president, before he was elected, had said he wanted to achieve.

Moscow said on Friday that the United States had until Sept. 1 to reduce its diplomatic staff in Russia to 455 people, which is the same as the number of Russian diplomats left in the United States after Washington expelled 35 Russians in December, 2016.

On Friday, an official at the U.S. Embassy, who did not wish to be identified, said the embassy employed about 1,100 diplomatic and support staff in Russia, including Russian and U.S. citizens.

A US State Department official called Russia's action "a regrettable and uncalled-for act." Adding:

"We are assessing the impact of such a limitation and how we will respond to it."
