Reality star Porsha Williams and fiancé Dennis McKinley split 8 Months after engagement

Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Porsha Williams and her fiancé of 8 months, Dennis McKinley have split just three months after welcoming their daughter, Pilar Jhena.

A family member close to the couple confirmed the split to Us Weekly, and added, “There is a tiny, tiny, tiny chance they would get back together, [but] likely no.”

News of their split first started when Williams, 37, unfollowed McKinley on Instagram in May. At that time, rumors began to circulate that he had cheated on her.

Despite the rumors, Porsha did re-follow him and Dennis released a statement, refuting the rumors.

“These false and slanderous allegations against me are made solely to damage my reputation, jeopardize my ongoing businesses, and negatively impact my family,” Dennis told E!.

We‘ll resist Fulani vigilantes in Igboland - Ohanaeze tells Miyetti Allah

To combat insecurity, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, has called for establishment of Fulani Youth Vigilante body in the South-East to complement those in their host communities’ and other constituted security apparatus in the zone.

The cattle breeders made the request just as the South-East governors told them that nobody in the zone was against cattle rearing but that it was paramount for everyone to understand that there are rules of engagement in every relationship, including that of herders and farmers.

President-General of apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo said the group would resist Fulani vigilantes in Igboland, while the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, described the proposal as a provocative agenda.

Reacting to MACBAN’s call, Ohanaeze Ndigbo leader, Chief Nnia Nwodo, said Ndigbo will resist the proposal for the establishment of Fulani Youths Vigilante in Igboland. Accusing the herdsmen of violating Igbo women in their farms, among other crimes, Nwodo noted that if such request was granted the herdsmen, it will spell doom for Igboland. Nwodo said:

“Ohanaeze vehemently opposes any attempt by Miyetti Allah to establish any form of vigilante group in Igboland. These are people who have ravaged our farms, raped our women and slaughtered their husbands. As at today, they technically enjoy immunity from arrest and prosecution. They freely display AK-47 rifles not permitted to be used by civilians.

“Extending this measure to them will turn them into an army of occupation and invite unavoidable confrontations with our youths. We will resist such a policy with every might available to us.”

Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, withdraw's media aide’s appointment following public outcry from APC youths

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has withdrawn the appointment of Dr Festus Adedayo as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. His decision came following a public outcry from members of his party who believe they have been sidelined.

Lawan on Tuesday June 18th, announced the appointment of Adedayo as his media aide. This news was greeted with stiff opposition from the Youths of APC who felt slighted with the appointment. According to the youths, Adedayo worked with former Senate President Bukola Saraki and so does not believe in the ideology of the APC-led government. The youths also frowned at Lawan's decision to retain all the aides of his predecessor, Bukola Saraki. The aides are Mr Mohammed Isa, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity; Olu Onemola, Special Assistant on New Media; and Tope Olowoeye, Senior Legislative Aide on Media and Publicity (Photography).

The angry youths staged a protest in Abuja yesterday where they called on Lawan to drop Adedayo as well as other aides. They argue that they cannot work tirelessly for the government to come into power and then be sidelined during appointments for people who worked against the government.

A statement by the Special Assistant to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, Mr Mohammed Isa, on Thursday June 20th, announced the withdrawal of Adedayo's appointment. According to Isa, the appointment was withdrawn in Adedayo’s best interest.

The statement read in part

“The office of the President of the Senate has reviewed the appointment of Dr Festus Adedayo as Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the President of the Senate and decided to rescind its decision on the appointment.”

The statement wished Adedayo the best in his future endeavours.

Insiders say the Senate President is however adamant to keep the other aides.
