VIDEO: Maxi Priest ft. Yemi Alade – This Woman

Superstar Maxi Priest, is one of those artists whose own unique vision has led him to tremendous international success, being the first reggae artist to have a No.1 hit worldwide, including the U.S. Billboard charts.

This fresh collaborative effort is something Ms.Bodega (International Artist/CEO of Bodega World Music) and Maxi Priest have been cooking up for a while as they both share the love of the current wave and movement of African music and the spirit of collaboration of bringing world sounds together to continue to bridge the gap between people and cultures worldwide.

The project is finally coming to fruition by teaming up on the creative side with one of Africa’s most talented music producers, Young D, who is known for some great hits including Dancehall King Timaya’s “Bum Bum” ft. Sean Paul and several others. As well as BWM’s Label manager, Wole Ogundare who is a driving force on the project and also the head music video director for the single and the project.

In Ms.Bodega words, “This single is one of many to come. So stay tuned in 2018. We have a Mission. This is a Movement.” The project is also partnering with charities and organizations that stand for Uniting Africa, focusing on children and education related to sustainability in Africa.

Yemi Alade and Maxi have great chemistry on the song as Yemi embodies and celebrates everything “This Woman” is about, an African woman who is both current and traditional, a Nigerian who has crossed over internationally, a leading African female artist of these very exciting times for African music in the world today. Maxi’s sweet voice and Caribbean sound blends perfectly into yemi’s Afropop flow.

Actress Funke Akindele’s Name Removed From Avengers: Infinity War’s Cast

Funke Akindele’s name has been removed from the cast list of upcoming superhero movie, Avengers: Infinity War.
The Nollywood superstar’s name had appeared among the movies cast on Amazon-owned movie database, IMDb.

The news had created huge interest among Nollywood lovers, who were very eager to see one of theirs appear in what could be one of the highest-grossing movies of all time.

According to IMDb, Akindele was to play a member of the Dora Milaje, a team of women who serve as personal bodyguards of the Black Panther, the spiritual leader of Wakanda.

It was hailed as a monumental leap for the actress, who started out featuring in popular United Nations Population Fund-sponsored TV series I Need to Know, which ran from 1998 to 2002.

The Jenifa star never confirmed or deny the reports on her social media pages, and now, her name no longer appears on the cast list at IMDb.

Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Pratt, Chris Evans and more, and follows Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers as they unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality.

Could it possibly have been a ruse to generate interest among Nigerian viewers for the movie? If so, then shame on Marvel and IMDb.

It is also possible that all she got was a scene, which didn’t make the final cut.

Either way,

Good day, my name is Rosalyn. from Benue stat I need help so I don’t take my life. Because that seem to be the only option now. I got married in court at the age of 19 because I was pregnant and because I didn’t want to bring shame to my parents, I got married and it has been the worst decision I ever made..I have never had peace.i have been abused emotional, physically and psychologically..I have no say,at that time I couldn’t visit my parents, even when I was pregnant for my two kids, he treated me like I was nothing..I did Cs and he threatened me to tell the doctor to discharge me because he didn’t want to waste money,I ended up having infection on my incision area( a flesh eating disease) it nealy killed me.He refused to put me in school as promised nor pay for me to learn a skill..I was being punished for everything, it was like I was walking in eggshells. he locked me outside till 3am with my newborn baby inside the room crying for hours because I asked him why he came home by 12am. He goes out to drink, club, cheats with many women.

One day, I asked him a question and he beat me up in front of his mother, then it happened again and again .I ran to my parents house but I was told to go back because divorce is not good and that he’ll change..But he never changed, at times he won’t talk to me for weeks nor buy food or eat the food I cook, he’ll insult me and call me and my family names. I keep baring everything until last year august when I found out he was sleeping with my kid sis who’s 16. She told me that they’ve been having sex three times a week for 2 years, she got pregnant and they aborted it..I was devastated..I was shocked ,I was in pain..I wanted to run away with my kids but I had nowhere to go to,I had no money, no skill, no degree..So i stiayed bearing it all..He still hasn’t changed.he use it to rub on my face instead..I have developed a terrible high blood pressure at the age of 26. He keeps tormenting me and beating me up.. Threatening me with a knife, I ran away to Lagos for some weeks.. Came back and this morning, he startes beating me for no reason… I need to leave this marriage.. I need to get my life back. I need help.
