No evidence yet that mysterious deaths in Kano was caused by Coronavirus — Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire

The Minister of Health Osagie Ehanire on Tuesday May 5, stated there is still no evidence which suggests that the mysterious deaths in Kano was caused by Coronavirus.

Osagie disclosed this in a meeting with members of the House of Representatives. He said investigations into the deaths are of three streams and there is no result yet linking them to Coronavirus.

He said;

“That test is still going on, and there are no results.

“There was never a case of him (the task force coordinator) saying 80 per cent of people died from that or any other disease at all.

“The person did not ever say that the people died from coronavirus.”

Commenting on the Coronavirus cases in Kano state, the Minister said 95 percent of the cases are in about seven municipal councils which makes it more necessary to restrict movements.

This came hours after Dr Nasiru Sani Gwarzo, leader of the Ministerial Task Team on COVID-19 denied linking the mysterious deaths in Kano to Coronavirus. He insisted that he was misquoted as health officials are yet to conclude their investigations.

Dr Gwarzo said;

”It will be wrong for me to preempt the report of the medical experts.

“Some of the national dailies reported a percentage of people that died of COVID-19 in the state, that is not true.

“The state is doing a verbal autopsy and the result is not out.

“I want to use this opportunity to reiterate that the newspaper reports were wrong and absolutely wrong.

“It is not the responsibility of the Ministerial Task Team to announce the result of the findings, it is the state government’s responsibility to do so.”

Hilarious reactions as Grimes reveals her and Elon Musk's baby is really named X Æ A-12 Musk

Twitter users have shared hilarious reactions after Grimes and Elon Musk confirmed that, indeed, their newborn son has been named X Æ A-12 Musk and explained the meaning of the name.

On Monday, May 4, billionaire techpreneur, Elon Musk and Canadian singer, Grimes, real name Claire Elise Boucher, welcomed a son. It is the 6th son for Musk but Grimes' first child.

Elon revealed on that same Monday that their child's name is X Æ A-12 but no one took him seriously (read here).

Grimes went on Twitter hours ago to reveal that their son has truly been named X Æ A-12 (read here). She then went on to explain the meaning, adding that the A-12 in the baby's name was given to him after the A-12 Spy Plane.

The new mum wrote:

•X, the unknown variable

•Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence)

•A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent

+

(A=Archangel, my favorite song)

(metal rat)

Elon responded to agree with her and also to correct a small mistake where Grimes wrote SR-17 instead of SR-71.

The SpaceX CEO wrote: "SR-71, but yes."

He then added a photo of the A-12 Spy Plane and wrote: "Archangel - 12."

Twitter users were confused and asked the parents how the name will be pronounced. Some said they were trying to damage the child's life, others told them a child is not a science experiment or a technology device.

Some went as far as posting memes and jokes of what the baby will grow up to be and how his life will turn out.

See some Twitter reactions below.
