We cannot close down churches and mosques because of coronavirus, it cannot survive in the body of Jesus - Tanzania's President, John Magufuli (video)

Tanzania's President, John Magufuli has revealed why his government cannot close down churches and mosques in the East African country over coronavirus.

Speaking at a church service he attended, Magufuli stated that coronavirus is of the devil and cannot survive while in the “body of Christ”.

The President who has a PhD in chemistry from The University of Dar es Salaam (2009), added that churches and mosques are the only place where true healing can be found.

He said;

“These Holy places are where God is. My fellow Tanzanians, let us not be afraid of going to praise Him.

“Corona cannot survive in the body of Christ, it will burn. That is exactly why I did not panic while taking the Holy communion."

Tanzania has recorded 12 coronavirus cases so far, leading to a call form restriction on public gatherings.

Opposition leader, Zitto Kabwe criticized Magufuli's statement and also reignited the call for churches and mosques to be closed down to curb the spread of the virus. He said;

“Let’s not argue with science."

'They've been social distancing since 1986' 'Gayle's in her bed'' - Hilarious social media reactions after Oprah Winfrey quarantines her boyfriend of 24 years in her guest room

Social media users have reacted hilariously after a video was shared on Twitter showing media mogul, Oprah Winfrey, quarantining her boyfriend Stedman Graham in her guest house after he returned from a business trip last week.

The 66-year-old talk show host and Billionaire who suffered from pneumonia late last year and took antibiotics for a bronchial infection last week, decided not to take chances by quarantining Stedman who she's been dating since 1986, in one of her guest houses at her mansion.

"The procedure is you ain't coming and sleeping in my bed," Oprah said in an Instagram live video with the Oprah Magazine's digital director Arianna Davis . "
Literally...he goes, 'I'm not?' I go, 'Oh, no no no no. It doesn't work that way. Have you not been paying attention to the news? Social distancing doesn't mean you're going to sleep in the bed with the person when you just got off American Airlines....We cannot play that game. We're taking it very seriously."

After Radio Host Sunni uploaded a video on Twitter of Stedman social distancing at the guest house, social media users joked that she had been quarantining Stedman since they started dating while some jokingly said she was in her bedroom with her alleged 'girlfriend' TV Host, Gayle King.

Nigerian doctor shares heartbreaking story of the length she and her colleagues are forced to go to save lives with inadequate medical facilities

A medical doctor has told of the length she and her colleagues have gone to save patients' lives without available medical equipment.

She blamed the lack of facilities on the government and says it's the reason why she's highly critical of them when it comes to healthcare.

She went on to break down how money budgeted for projects such as revamping NTA, Aso Villa Clinic, and the money lawmakers want to use to revamp a building could have been better put to use to provide adequate medical equipment.

She tweeted: "Someone asked why I'm always so critical of the govt when it comes to healthcare. I will tell u. During NYSC, I & a colleague had to construct an improvised bubble CPAP machine using plaster & Eva water bottle to save a preterm infant with RDS. The baby died 48 hours later.

"Do u knw y she died? We ran out of oxygen & there was nothing we cud do. Countless times, we had to fashion incubators from indomie cartons while the parents prayed to God that PHCN kept the lights on cos the only source of heat was from light bulbs dangling above these cartons.

"A lot of these babies later became statistics for Nigeria's infant mortality. But Lawmakers want to use N37billion to renovate a building. The same govt wants $500million to revamp NTA. In a space of 3 years, the govt budgeted 5.2 billion Naira for Aso villa clinic alone.

"let me tell u what N5.2billion can do. It can purchase over 1500 incubators. It can purchase over 2000 CPAP machines. It can purchase over 400 ventilators. So please don't ask me why I'm always angry. A better question is why are u not.

"If u've ever watched a child with RDS die, u'll understand. They make this grunting sound cos they're trying to generate enough air pressure to keep their lungs open. With each breath, it gets worse, sometimes it feels like they have a hole in their windpipes. It's haunting."
