PDP spokesman, Ben Bako arrested by DSS for 'hate speech'

The Director, Media and Publicity, Kaduna State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Organisation, Ben Bako, has been arrested by security agents.

It was learnt that Bako has been taken to Abuja headquarters of the Department of Security Service, DSS,for questioning over what it referred to as hate speech made during the PDP campaign in Kafachan last week.

The PDP’s Spokesperson told their supporters in Southern Kaduna during one of the opposition’s campaign rallies to attack anyone who will vote for APC in the area.

Reacting, PDP Deputy Campaign Director-General, Ashiru/Marshal governorship Campaign Organisation, Danjuma Sarki alleged that the arrest “was orchestrated to persecute and silence the opposition in the last days of the election”.

Seun Kuti apologizes and explains why he didn't perform at the Grammys

Last night, Nigerian Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti didn't perform at the 61st Grammy Awards as earlier announced.

He also lost in his first attempt to win a Grammy award after being nominated in the best world music album category but lost to South Africa's 'Soweto Gospel Choir',

Explaining why he was unable to perform on the biggest music awards stage, Seun Kuti wrote, 'first and foremost I have to say I am sorry to all the fans that tuned in to see us perform yesterday but didn’t. I had the weirdest ticket mix up in history meaning I missed my flight and the rehearsals and we couldn’t go on. Big up to Soweto Gospel choir a group that has also inspired me. @fatoumata_diawara__ for holding down our show without me. @lekanbalogun1 @mccoyclothings for making us look really nice on that red carpet @versatilebay for @chefyeide clothes. @egypt80band and our entire team we must keep banging the door till they let us in'.

Cardi B becomes first solo female to win best rap album at the Grammys

Last night, Cardi B made history as she became the first solo female artist to win best rap album at the Grammys after being honoured for her debut album 'Invasion Of Privacy.'

The mother of one won the award ahead of other nominees Pusha T, Travis Scott and the late Mac Miller.

Accompanied to the stage by her husband, Migos rapper Offset, the 26-year-old thanked the couple’s daughter, Kulture, who was born in July last year.

She said: “I’m not just saying thank you because she’s my daughter. It’s because, you know, when I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete, like three songs that I was for sure having.

“And then you know, you know how it was, we was like, we have to get this album done so I could still do videos while I’m still not showing. And it was very long nights.”

Toni Braxton exposes nipples in see-through dress as she bares all at the 61st Grammy Awards

Tony Braxton left very little to the imagination as she walked the red carpet at the 61st Grammy Awards last night.

The 51-year-old singer displayed her figure in a daring see-through dress which did little to protect her modesty. She managed to use her hair to hide her nipples most times, but at some point, her hair moved, thereby making her nipples visible through the garment.
