Footballers, Clubs and coaches have started mourning his death on social media.

Thousands of supporters were also pictured on Sunday, laying hundreds of flowers, shirts, and scarves, in a sign of the depth of feeling for the Thai businessman.

Indonesian plane crash kills 188 passengers

A passenger plane carrying 188 people crashed into the sea off Jakarta, some minutes after take-off, on Monday morning

According to air tracking service Flightradar 24, the flight JT610 operated by Lion Air, lost contact with the ground 13 minutes after take-off. The jet was a Boeing 737 MAX 8, which can carry up to 200 passengers,.

“It has been confirmed that it has crashed,” Yusuf Latif, a spokesman for the country’s search and rescue agency, said on Monday by text message, when asked about the fate of the plane. A search and rescue effort has been launched for the plane which departed Jakarta about 6.20 a.m. on Monday and was scheduled to land at Pangkal Pinang at 7.20 a.m. Reports received at Tanjung Priok port in North Jakarta indicated the remains of the plane had been spotted.

Indonesia’s disaster agency spokesman posted video of some debris on Twitter. A vessel traffic officer, Suyadi, told the Jakarta Post that he received a report from a tugboat that identified a downed plane at 6.45 a.m. “At 7:15 a.m., the tugboat reported it had approached the site and the crew saw the debris of a plane,” Suyadi told the Post.

'I am learning ‘Shaku Shaku’ dance steps ahead of the 2019 election campaigns' - VP Yemi Osinbajo

Last night, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo in Abuja said he has started learning the popular `Shaku Shaku’ dance steps for campaigns ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Osinbajo, who was the Chairman and Special Guest of Honour at a book launch in Abuja said that his friend recently polled large number of votes just by dancing.

According to Osinbajo, nobody knows what will work in Nigerian politics. He said: “and hopefully, we will be able to find resolution to some of questions raised in our political lives as well; I know that is one of the reason Alhaji Shittu Kabir, Chairman, Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) is here. As matter of fact, for those of us who are politicians, when you see `Politicrisis’; especially as elections approach, you might think there is a formula somewhere.

Kabir and I and are the opposite sides but we are here to learn; I was saying the other day that politics in Nigeria is becoming very exciting; you never know what works. I can never forget my dear friend in one of the states who just danced his way through the campaigns; all he did was dance; he did nothing else but dance and he won 250,000 votes. So myself and Kabir are now learning Shaku Shaku; we have to learn; who knows what will win.’’

PDP challenges Buhari to speak out on Indictment by Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed

The Peoples Democratic Party has challenged President Buhari to speak out on the declaration by Finance Minister, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, that the policies of his administration were hurting the nation and destroying investor- confidence in the economy.

The party said the declaration by the minister is a vindication of its stand that the Buhari administration was responsible for the nation’s economic woes and expressed dismay that President Buhari has kept mum on the issue since the minister made her declaration last week.

Though the minister particularly alluded to the administration of the colossal fines imposed on MTN Nigeria and four banks, available data showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government has been subjecting businesses to very harsh and punitive policies, leading to the dearth of both domestic and foreign direct investments and its attendant economic hardship on the citizenry.

The PDP had always alerted the nation of the negative impact of the harsh economic policies, high-handedness and vindictiveness of the Buhari administration on investors. This is in addition to heavy and multiple taxations, import and foreign currency restrictions, clampdown on free trade, corruption and avoidable flops, which have continued to scare investors away from our country.

Today, investors in key sectors are pulling out their interests, foreign revenue is dwindling by the day and our economy has continued to dip under President Buhari, with no hope in sight. Only last month, the same Minister of Finance alerted that the nation was facing revenue challenges; a development that stems directly from the harsh policies of the Buhari administration, coupled with its incompetence and lack of creative ability to engage in the global market and run a productive economy.

The PDP invites Nigerians to hold President Buhari responsible for the economic disaster and the hardship that our nation has faced in the last three and half years. Our party restates that if President Buhari had heed wise counsel to accept his incompetence and hands off economic issues, end corruption in his Presidency and allow better hands to manage the economy, our nation would not be in the quagmire we are in today.

The PDP, however, urges Nigerians not to despair as it has succeeded in throwing up a very credible, visionary and result-oriented Presidential candidate in Atiku Abubakar, in line with the determination to open a new era of economic prosperity and national cohesion under the PDP, come May 29, 2019.

Ja Rule responds after 50 Cent claims he bought 200 seats to his concert so they can be empty

Ja Rule doesn't appear to be bothered by 50 Cent’s latest move in their ongoing feud as he finds it amusing and has responded with a series of hilarious social media posts.

Few days ago, 50 Cent claimed he had bought 200 tickets, $15 each, at a total of about $3,000, for the fellow rapper’s upcoming show, so Ja Rule would be performing to a front row section of empty seats at the gig.

Commenting under the post, 50 said: “I just bought 200 seats in the front so they can be empty. LOL.” He also posted a photoshopped image depicting himself sitting in an empty concert venue. Read story here.

Ja Rule has responded with a series of Photoshopped images showing 50 Cent as a woman and repurposing 50's social media catchphrase to imply the rapper has sex with men and trans women.

Spanish club, Real Madrid are reportedly set to sack Julen Lopetegui on Monday evening with formerChelsea coach Antonio Conte to take over.

According to Mail Online, Madrid directors will meet to decide his dismissal 24 hours after watching the side humiliating 5-1 defeat to Barcelona in Sunday's El Clasico.

The defeat at the Nou Camp, has seen Real Madrid dropped to ninth position in the La Liga table.
