'Buhari and I are not in government to deceive Nigerians'' Osinbajo says

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has said that himself and President Buhari did not come into office to deceive Nigerians and then steal their common wealth. Osinbajo said this when he appeared on a programme on Human Rights radio in Abuja. According to the Vice President, himself and Buhari are in office to better the lives of every Nigerian.

“The focus of our government is on how things can be better for the common man. We are not in the business of trying to deceive Nigerians. You can accuse me and the President of anything, but you will never find us deceiving Nigerians.” he said

Speaking further, Osinbajo said ''The President has ensured that nobody steals money from the treasury. The major problem Nigeria had before now was the fact that people stole from the nation’s coffers. Once the country is able to stop corruption, it would be better.

Presidency reacts to PDP going to court over President Buhari's certificate

The Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has described attempts by the PDP to go to court over the certificate of President Buhari, as a waste of Time. Read a statement he released below

We have read that the failed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is going to court to challenge the President’s West African School Certificate (WASC).

This is a waste of time because we have the record of this and of higher qualifications obtained by hard work and truly merited by Mr President.

This certificate story is an old one. As Femi Adesina stated clearly, it is a settled issue in the courts. To approach the court to pursue a matter long settled by the temple of justice is an abuse of the judicial system. It is shameful, disgusting and disgraceful.

It is clear to all at this time that the PDP, facing an imminent humiliating defeat wants to sow division and chaos by seeking the destruction of the institutional structures that support our young democracy.

They are attacking the courts and the police, they are molesting INEC commissioners. They are theatrical in spreading falsehoods against persons including the President.

By doing these, they assume that they can take away attention from the discussions on issues gaining momentum in the country; the issue of internal security which has been jeopardized by years of near-zero investment under 16 years of the PDP; the provision of long-delayed infrastructure which the President is pioneering; corruption to which the PDP is incurably tied and the sustenance of the prevailing good days in the economy, a business-friendly government working day and night, creating more jobs and affordable life for the poor.

This election isn’t about the settled issues of certification.

No matter how honeyed their sweet words, don’t believe them.

Their evil record can never be washed away. The PDP set a record of murdering opponents of government and corruption on a scale never seen anywhere before.

They put the national security at stake by diverting huge budgetary allocations to service their greed. Don’t believe their honeyed promises.

Ghanaian entrepreneur Rashida Nasamu on cover of Pleasures Magazine, November 2018

The November edition of the Pan-African Entrepreneurial magazine features Ghanaian entrepreneur Rashida Nasamu, who not only runs a successful company in Ghana but she is, an iconic inspiration to young Africans, especially female Muslims. Click goo.gl/cQduco for more information.

"This is one of most inspiring entrepreneurial features of the year for Pleasures Magazine. If even one young African reads it and is inspired enough to start a business, the goal of the magazine will have been accomplished. Notwithstanding the challenges and pessimistic perceptions of many young Africans today, entrepreneurs like Rashida are proof that there is hope for Africa," observes Otunba Adedotun Babatunde, Publisher of Pleasures Magazine.

The Founder and CEO of Izar Group, Rashida needs no introduction but just in case you hadn't known or ever heard of her, all you need is to grab a copy of the Pleasures magazine to satisfy your curiosity, for, the award-winning and shinny role model of an entrepreneur is the one who graces the cover of the November 2018 edition .

Rashida started her company with nothing beyond a phone and computer but turned it into a multi-million dollar business empire with interests in media, communication / advertising, real estate, technology, manufacturing and agriculture.

Click goo.gl/cQduco for more information.

Today, the company is not only standing out but expanding. Rashida stressed that one of the most important factors of her company's success was applying strategic and meaningful ideas to stay in business.

In her interview with Pleasures Magazine, she talks about her upbringing, entrepreneurial journey and being a Muslim woman in business.

On the impact of her background that has been most helpful, she ascribed it to "Values my father instilled in us. Indeed it creates the need for substance. I don't believe in short cuts in life...in context though! I believe in a life full of daily challenges until we are put in our graves. A life that makes young people think outside the box, strategize and work smartly hard towards achieving their goals".

On being a woman, she said "Everyone will attest to the fact that women are more meticulous, passionate and make good leaders. I believe this emanates from the usual approach of motherhood duties at home. I may not be able to do a long comparison because they are two different worlds. However I will mention the likes of German chancellor, Angela Merkel who some people have said is using ‘breast milk' to lead not just Germany but the whole E.U. which has earned her the nick name "MUTTI (mom). This, I believe is due to her calm but stern motherly approach to tough issues. She is like a mother to many presidents. British Prime Minister, Theresa May is another example of strength in womanhood especially at these times of lack of sleep (possibly) due to the Brexit crises which I contributed to anyway, when I had an invitation from the UK Independence Party to speak prior to the British referendum. "

This edition features also, amazing stories about Mrs Folorunso Alakija, the Nigerian billionaire businesswoman who is one of the richest black women in the world.

The sucessful entrepreneurship story of the king of the Igbos in Ghana, Eze-Igbo of Ghana, HRM (Dr) Chukwudi Eze-ohazurume 1, Nnamdi and Maureen,a fashion power couple, Louer Group founders, Muna Obioha, Aminu Nyako and Simisola Williams as well as South African entrepreneur Rohan Vos are also presented vividly. Their stories alone cut across 6 different industries; namely oil and gas, manufacturing, fashion, technology, agriculture, and transportation.

Aptly described as an outstanding publication, the current issue reveals also the key questions to consider while testing the success rate of one's business plan. It features as well profiles of 8 Nigerian female bank directors who are leading the way on boards full of men, and how they made it to the top.

Every page is simply replete with vital messages for both the upcoming and accomplished entrepreneur

Cardi B comes for Nicki Minaj again, threatens to beat and sue her

Cardi B has come for Nicki Minaj again. This time, she's threatening to not only physically assault her, but also to pursue legal action against her.

Cardi ripped into Nicki on Monday during a social media tirade. This comes after Nicki went on her Queen Radio show and spilled more details about their New York Fashion Week fight which left Cardi with a knot on her forehead.

During the expletive-filled tirade, Cardi B called Nicki a snitch for claiming Rah Ali beat Cardi up during the fight. The new mother said she's tired of the back and forth and invited Nicki to settle the fight with their fists.

Nicki is offering $100k to anyone who's willing to leak footage of the altercation between her and Cardi at the NYFW, adding that she's willing to take Cardi to court. But Cardi said she should sue Nicki for defamation.

'There is great anger in our country caused in part by inaccurate, fraudulent, reporting of the news' - President Trump

In the wake of the recent bomb threats against opposition figures in the United States, President Trump has once again blamed the 'Fake News' media for causing the anger in the country.

According to the President, 'there is great anger in our Country caused in part by inaccurate, and even fraudulent, reporting of the news. The Fake News Media, the true Enemy of the People, must stop the open & obvious hostility & report the news accurately & fairly. That will do much to put out the flame of Anger and Outrage and we will then be able to bring all sides together in Peace and Harmony. Fake News Must End'.

He went on to call out CNN saying, 'CNN and others in the Fake News Business keep purposely and inaccurately reporting that I said the “Media is the Enemy of the People.” Wrong! I said that the “Fake News (Media) is the Enemy of the People,” a very big difference. When you give out false information - not good!'.

'The Fake News is doing everything in their power to blame Republicans, Conservatives and me for the division and hatred that has been going on for so long in our Country. Actually, it is their Fake & Dishonest reporting which is causing problems far greater than they understand!'

Indonesian plane crash kills 188 passengers

A passenger plane carrying 188 people crashed into the sea off Jakarta, some minutes after take-off, on Monday morning

According to air tracking service Flightradar 24, the flight JT610 operated by Lion Air, lost contact with the ground 13 minutes after take-off. The jet was a Boeing 737 MAX 8, which can carry up to 200 passengers,.

“It has been confirmed that it has crashed,” Yusuf Latif, a spokesman for the country’s search and rescue agency, said on Monday by text message, when asked about the fate of the plane. A search and rescue effort has been launched for the plane which departed Jakarta about 6.20 a.m. on Monday and was scheduled to land at Pangkal Pinang at 7.20 a.m. Reports received at Tanjung Priok port in North Jakarta indicated the remains of the plane had been spotted.

Indonesia’s disaster agency spokesman posted video of some debris on Twitter. A vessel traffic officer, Suyadi, told the Jakarta Post that he received a report from a tugboat that identified a downed plane at 6.45 a.m. “At 7:15 a.m., the tugboat reported it had approached the site and the crew saw the debris of a plane,” Suyadi told the Post.

'I am learning ‘Shaku Shaku’ dance steps ahead of the 2019 election campaigns' - VP Yemi Osinbajo

Last night, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo in Abuja said he has started learning the popular `Shaku Shaku’ dance steps for campaigns ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Osinbajo, who was the Chairman and Special Guest of Honour at a book launch in Abuja said that his friend recently polled large number of votes just by dancing.

According to Osinbajo, nobody knows what will work in Nigerian politics. He said: “and hopefully, we will be able to find resolution to some of questions raised in our political lives as well; I know that is one of the reason Alhaji Shittu Kabir, Chairman, Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) is here. As matter of fact, for those of us who are politicians, when you see `Politicrisis’; especially as elections approach, you might think there is a formula somewhere.

Kabir and I and are the opposite sides but we are here to learn; I was saying the other day that politics in Nigeria is becoming very exciting; you never know what works. I can never forget my dear friend in one of the states who just danced his way through the campaigns; all he did was dance; he did nothing else but dance and he won 250,000 votes. So myself and Kabir are now learning Shaku Shaku; we have to learn; who knows what will win.’’

PDP challenges Buhari to speak out on Indictment by Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed

The Peoples Democratic Party has challenged President Buhari to speak out on the declaration by Finance Minister, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, that the policies of his administration were hurting the nation and destroying investor- confidence in the economy.

The party said the declaration by the minister is a vindication of its stand that the Buhari administration was responsible for the nation’s economic woes and expressed dismay that President Buhari has kept mum on the issue since the minister made her declaration last week.

Though the minister particularly alluded to the administration of the colossal fines imposed on MTN Nigeria and four banks, available data showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government has been subjecting businesses to very harsh and punitive policies, leading to the dearth of both domestic and foreign direct investments and its attendant economic hardship on the citizenry.

The PDP had always alerted the nation of the negative impact of the harsh economic policies, high-handedness and vindictiveness of the Buhari administration on investors. This is in addition to heavy and multiple taxations, import and foreign currency restrictions, clampdown on free trade, corruption and avoidable flops, which have continued to scare investors away from our country.

Today, investors in key sectors are pulling out their interests, foreign revenue is dwindling by the day and our economy has continued to dip under President Buhari, with no hope in sight. Only last month, the same Minister of Finance alerted that the nation was facing revenue challenges; a development that stems directly from the harsh policies of the Buhari administration, coupled with its incompetence and lack of creative ability to engage in the global market and run a productive economy.

The PDP invites Nigerians to hold President Buhari responsible for the economic disaster and the hardship that our nation has faced in the last three and half years. Our party restates that if President Buhari had heed wise counsel to accept his incompetence and hands off economic issues, end corruption in his Presidency and allow better hands to manage the economy, our nation would not be in the quagmire we are in today.

The PDP, however, urges Nigerians not to despair as it has succeeded in throwing up a very credible, visionary and result-oriented Presidential candidate in Atiku Abubakar, in line with the determination to open a new era of economic prosperity and national cohesion under the PDP, come May 29, 2019.

Ja Rule responds after 50 Cent claims he bought 200 seats to his concert so they can be empty

Ja Rule doesn't appear to be bothered by 50 Cent’s latest move in their ongoing feud as he finds it amusing and has responded with a series of hilarious social media posts.

Few days ago, 50 Cent claimed he had bought 200 tickets, $15 each, at a total of about $3,000, for the fellow rapper’s upcoming show, so Ja Rule would be performing to a front row section of empty seats at the gig.

Commenting under the post, 50 said: “I just bought 200 seats in the front so they can be empty. LOL.” He also posted a photoshopped image depicting himself sitting in an empty concert venue. Read story here.

Ja Rule has responded with a series of Photoshopped images showing 50 Cent as a woman and repurposing 50's social media catchphrase to imply the rapper has sex with men and trans women.

'Close the borders once you win in 2019 so Obasanjo would not escape' - Oba of Lagos urges President Buhari

Akiolu advised President Muhammadu Buhari to prevent former President Olusegun Obasanjo from “escaping” from the country once he emerges winner of the February 2019 presidential election.

In an interview with Punch, the Lagos monarch said he will do everything within his power to ensure that President Buhari emerges winner in the election and once the results are announced, he will advice the presidnet to immediately put up measures to ensure the former president does not escape from Nigeria.

Oba Akiolu and Obasanjo have been at loggerheads since the era of the Bola Tinubu administration after the former governor and Obasanjo had a fallout that saw the funds meant for the state seized by the Federal government.

Speaking of Obasanjo, Tinubu and Buhari during the interview, Oba Akiolu said

We were all witnesses to the battle Bola Ahmed had with (former President Olusegun) Obasanjo. In his first four years as the President of Nigeria, instead of facing governance, he was busy pursuing Tinubu and coming after Lagos. And that is why Lagos is as strong as it is today. He succeeded in capturing many other states except Lagos. God was with us. All the monarchs and religious leaders stood firm with us. At that time, I even said I would rather lose my life than allow him to capture Lagos. Let me tell you that this coming 2019 election, I will use everything God has endowed me with to appeal to God that Buhari should be elected, because some of those who are throwing their hats into the ring now are not honest people. It will be like a magic, but Buhari will be re-elected. And the very week he’s re-elected, I would announce and encourage him to close the borders so that Obasanjo will not escape.

NNPC denies funding Buhari’s re-election campaign

The Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikanti Baru, has denied reports of releasing funds from the oil corporation's account to fund the re-election campaign of President Buhari.

Reports were rife online this week with claims that the corporation released a large amount to the spokesperson of the campaign organization, Festus Keyamo, for the execution of the president's campaign. Keyamo in a statement released on Thursday October 25th, denied the claims.

Reacting to an allegation on the matter, NNPC’s General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Ndu Ughamadu, said the allegation was politically-motivated. Ughumadu in a statement released, said

“The allegation was not only false, but runs against the prevailing gale of transparency and accountability pervading the operations of the NNPC since the advent of the current administration. With no regard for the cherished investigative reporting ethos of balance and confirmation of story, the allegation, without doubt, come across as a kindergarten execution of an ill-thought political brinksmanship.”

NNPC called on all well-meaning members of the public and oil and gas industry stakeholders to disregard the report, noting that its management is focused on delivering the aspiration of the current administration

'Fashola should stop slandering Jonathan and focus on helping Buhari look for his WAEC Certificate' - Reno Omokri

Read the piece by Reno below...

I am surprised that rather than help his principal, Muhammadu Buhari, look for his invisible school certificate, that has allegedly been ‘kidnapped’ by the military, Tunde Raji Fashola, the minister of darkness, persists in slandering Dr. Goodluck Jonathan by saying that he only conceded the 2015 elections due to the impending recession.

Nothing can be further from the truth, and Fashola, as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, ought to know that. First of all, there was no ‘impending recession’ at any time when Dr. Jonathan was President of Nigeria.

What was on the horizon, was economic boom as evidenced by CNNMoney which projected Nigeria as the third fastest growing economy in the world in 2015.

It did not end there. Under the Jonathan administration, Nigeria was a magnet for investment and was the number one destination for foreign direct investment in Africa as rated by the Geneva-based United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (Unctad). Today, Nigeria is not even included in the top 10 in Africa.

Former President Jonathan handed over a robust economy to President Buhari on May 29, 2015, with a single digit inflation rate (it is now double digit), a Transparency International Corruption Perception Index ranking of 136 (it is now 148, the worst in Nigeria’s history), a Petrol Pump Price of ?87 (it is now ?145) and a Naira valued at ?199 to $1 (it is now ?365 to $1).

In fact, the economic situation under President Jonathan was much better than it is today that Gallup polls rated Nigeria under Jonathan as the 'happiest nation on earth". In contrast, today, the World Economic Forum rates Nigeria as the world headquarters for extreme poverty!

The fact, which Mr. Fashola knows very well, is that Nigeria’s first recession in 25 years occurred under President Buhari because he took six months before appointing his cabinet. And even when he appointed his cabinet, he appointed inept certificate forgers to handle a sensitive ministry like the finance ministry, which had hitherto been professionally handled by the world renowned Dr. Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

Furthermore, the utterances by Mr. Fashola’s principal, whenever he left the country, served to demarket the economy and trigger capital flight. If President Buhari was not telling the world that all Nigerians were corrupt, except him, he was telling them that Nigerian youths are lazy.

Statements like that triggered the loss of confidence in the Nigerian economy under Buhari, and indirectly led to the recession.

I will like to also remind Mr. Fashola that on July 12, 2014, he said “the only way you and I will have electricity in this country is to vote out the PDP.” Mr. Fashola is fond of denying his own statements and we will like to remind him that he cannot deny this one because it was caught on tape.

Incidentally, the Peoples Democratic Party is no longer in office at the Federal Government and Mr. Fashola has been minister of power for over three years, yet the power situation has not improved.

Rather than bury his head in shame, Raji Fashola continues to dance naked in the market and blame Dr. Jonathan for what he and his bad gang caused.

See the luxurious lifestyle of alleged Nigerian fraudster, Otunba Cash who was arrested in Turkey for $1.4million scam in Denmark (Photos)

Nigerian big boy, Emanuel "Otunba Cash" Aneke, who is also the CEO of Instanbul Entertainment in Nigeria was recently arrested alongside his gang members O. Popoola, AA Oyemade, AT Fajolu and BO Balogun in Turkey for $1.4million scam in Denmark.

They are all accused of hacking international companies’ emails, learning about their business partners and then using duplicate websites to fraud them.

According to a police source, the Danish police warned their Turkish counterparts through Interpol back in May that a Denmark-based Turkish company’s e-mail system was breached and more than $1.4 million, as well as fake invoices, were sent to a front company in Turkey.

It was gathered that the company paid money into some accounts in Turkey, and an investigation by Turkish Cybercrime Department led to the arrest of Otunba Cash and his gang members including the Turkish ED, ZI and N.M, whose companies were used as fonts.

During police raid at their luxury hotel, they confiscated 17 mobile phones, 15 sim cards, 3 flash memory, 4 computers, 1 memory card, $85k, €5k, 5 necklaces, 3 bracelets, 2 handcuffs, 2 rings, 1 earring, Rolex watch, numerous crime documents and a luxury car from the Nigerian fraudster.

Below are photos of the luxurious lifestyle of Otunba Cash.
