It's on! Lil Wayne sues Cash Money for $51 Million

It's not news that former best friends and business partners Lil Wayne and Birdman have fallen out over money, record deals, and artists under their label. What's new now is that the rapper is suing Cash Money for $51million with the hopes of ending his contract with the label.


According to TMZ, Lil Wayne filed a lawsuit asking a judge to end his contract with Cash Money. According to the lawsuit, Wayne says Birdman and company violated the deal by withholding tens of millions of dollars Cash Money owes him for his long-delayed album, "Tha Carter V."

Wayne claims because Cash Money is refusing to pay, he's entitled to walk. But Lil Wayne wants more than just a declaration of freedom. He's suing for $51 MILLION.
And Wayne wants the judge to declare he's the joint copyright owner of all Young Money recordings ... which includes Drake, Nicki Minaj and several others.
Sources connected to Wayne tell TMZ ... if Birdman antes up then he can release "Tha Carter V," but only if Wayne gets paid. Wayne says he was supposed to get an $8 million advance when he began recording in December, 2013 and another 2M when he completed the album a year later, but so far he's gotten nothing.

Lil Wayne will stay with Cash Money and Birdman IF they ante up the money he's owed ... in fact, we're told if Cash Money antes up, Wayne has no choice but to stay.

Sources involved in the case tell TMZ ... Wayne feels Birdman's decision to avoid paying him is nothing more than a power play. TMZ broke the story that Wayne is suing, and a central claim is that Birdman has consistently stiffed him over the last year.

There are 2 payments that have irked Wayne -- he says he was owed $8 million when he went into the studio to record "Tha Carter V" in December 2013, and another $2 mil when he completed the album last month.

We're told the hope is that Universal -- which distributes Cash Money records -- will step in and earmark the $10 mil for Wayne. And we're told Universal is already putting pressure on Cash Money to settle.

If Cash Money pays Wayne the $10 mil, it would essentially eliminate any breach of contract. That means Wayne would have no legal basis to ask out of the contract. Even though Wayne's suing for $51 million, most of that is predicated on future lost profits which would not be an issue if they settle.

As for the release of "Tha Carter V" ... even if the case settles the power would be in Birdman's claws.

Android 5.1 will soon be out ; here are the newest features

Google announces the arrival of Android 5.1 Lollipop. Find out what’s being added and who will get the update.

The latest version of Android Lollipop , announced Monday, will address issues with version 5.0 of the OS, while adding a handful of new features that help improve the user experience, according to the Official Android blog.

For starters, Quick Settings will now allow you to connect to a Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth device without opening another menu. If you own a phone that offers multiple SIM card ports, you’ll be able to switch between them without physically swapping SIM cards. And to make communicating even easier, High Definition voice calling will be available between Android 5.1 devices.

Google has also beefed up security for lost or stolen devices. Despite a factory reset, the device will still require a sign-in with the original Google account. This feature will be available on the Nexus 6 and 9 to start, but will be included on other devices shipped with Android 5.1.

So when will you see the Android 5.1 Lollipop update? According to some documents spotted on T-Mobile’s site by Android Police, the Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 (2013) may see updates today. But this lion proved that even the mightiest of beasts need a bit of medical attention from time to time as it underwent a CAT scan.

The unusual image is strangely humanising, and the magnificent creature appears strangely like one of us with his legs splayed out on each side of the scanner bed.

Although it’s not clear what exact ailment the lion was suffering from, it appears to be bound down and its legs are tied together, just in case that anaesthetic wears off a little bit quicker than expected.

Comedian Seyi Law talks about losing his unborn child

Comedian SeyiLaw and his wife Stacy Ebere lost their unborn child sometime last month.
Talking about it to the press for the first time, the comedian told Punch

"It is an experience I don’t want to share but at the point when we lost the child, I could not talk to my wife because as of that time, I had a lot running through my head. I was wondering how I could console her. I am somebody who loves writing, so I decided to write something to celebrate the baby and make other people encourage me. I know that God is there and he would see us through but sometimes you are weak and you need somebody to pull you out of the gloomy mood. That was why I posted the message on the internet and a lot of encouragement poured in. It was so emotional, encouraging and soul lifting when you see people who you have not met tell you that they have passed the same road and they were able to overcome and mine would not be different.
When you hear people pray for you, it makes you know that your case is in the presence of God and He is going to do something fast about it."
When asked what circumstances led to the loss of his daughter, the comedian almost broke down and didn't divulge any information that would affect his wife who is still mourning the loss of their baby.
“I don’t really want to go into much detail because my wife is healing fast and I think it would be insensitive of me because I don’t want a situation whereby she would be reading all those things on the pages of the newspaper. I just want to tell people that it has been four years that we have been married and that was going to be our first baby. Just to let people understand how sensitive it was to us. For a woman who has had to go through the pain for over eight months only for you to discover that you are not going to be dancing around with the baby is so painful. I don’t want to get too emotional but I think people would understand if I don’t elaborate on what went wrong.”

After reading the (hate) comments posted on the single vs married article, I could not resist the urge to air my thoughts on the whole issue(big shoutout to Richard by the way...the article was on point)
Despite the fact that we are living in the 21st century with advance development in technology and infrastructure, it's still so sad to see that people(especially Africans) are still living and thinking in an archaic manner(1800 type of thinking) especially when it comes to issues of relationships and marriages.
I laughed when I read some of the comments posted on the article from women because they are ladies who are not willing to learn.


Gone are the days where a man stuck to his woman whether she cooked or not and looked like beyonce or squidward. That was in the primitive era when there was nothing like a TV set where men could sit down and gawk at the kim k's and the beyonce's. The 18th century man was satisfied with the occasional missionary sex he got from his wife and his own self help(you know what I mean ;) ).
However, you cannot liken that man to the man of the 21st century who has been exposed to the likes of kim k's on TV, playboy magazines and undiluted porn! The man that has been exposed to various types of intercontinental dishes from various restaurants(be it burka or Chinese) who faces serious temptation at his place of work with females colleagues with ungodly shapes(the type that makes you sweat under Ac lol) with his libido working overtime! The man who is now a self acclaimed gym freak e.t.c(the list goes on and on). If after all these description you can still sit there and tell me that if he has unconditional love for you, he wouldn't cheat then my sister it is either you're high on weed of SUPERIOR quality or you are just plain stupid.

Let's put it this way, if your partner is given the opportunity to sleep with kim Kardashian, Do you think he would reject it because of the unconditional love he has for you(even when you're out of shape and lazy in the bedroom) I pray ooo! #lovegbakwookwu. Take a look at our parents for example most of them are miserable in their marriages(especially the men) think about it for a split second and ask yourself the silent question why. How many of you can swear that your father has never cheated on your mother(let's be honest) close to none actually! Pause again and ask yourself why? Yes your guess is as good as mine.

Every nigerian female is caught up in her own world where a guy comes and sweeps her off her feet and gets married to her in front of the whole world with his being faithful to her 24/7( hehehe fairytale) you need to wake up real quick..all those things only happen in a 3D Award Winning Romance novel/movie. None of it is really!

If you think that just because you're married,you can afford to let yourself go and your man would still be faithful then I am deeply sorry for you. For those of you who don't want to even go through the stress of doing the things stated in Richards list, just save yourself the stress of getting married because you are definitely not ready for it. Be like me!!(I am not interested in getting married...ITS NOT BY FORCE!).

To those who would actually take the advice given to them by Richard, I respect you a lot and I wish you the best in your endeavors.
