Governor El-Rufai's wife, Hadiza admits her son Bello threatened Twitter user with sexual abuse after being called out for supporting him

Governor Nasir El-Rufai's wife, Hadiza has finally admitted that her son Bello threatened a Twitter user with sexual abuse after being called out yesterday for supporting her son in his rants.



Recall LIB reported earlier that Bello who lashed out at some Twitter users with comments many considered as ethnic slurs, also threatened to pass on a Twitter user's mother to his friends in a heated exchange yesterday.



Hadiza who commented on the tweet, defended her son by stating that her belief is "respect everyone but take no shit from anyone". She also insisted that she never saw threats of rape in Bello's tweet.



Following the outrage her tweet which many considered as support for her son incited, she has now shared a rejoinder tweet. Hadiza stated that she thought it was the usual Twitter "gbas gbos" till she read Bello's tweets chronologically.



The Kaduna State First Lady also revealed that she has had a conversation with Bello, as no one should employ sexual abuse as an ammunition in public/private exchanges, no matter the provocation.



She tweeted;




When I posted the tweet below, I assumed it was just the usual Twitter gbas-gbos. Having read the tweets chronologically, I have had conversations with Bello. Never ever should sexual abuse be employed as ammunition in public/ private exchanges, no matter the provocation.

NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns' mother dies from Coronavirus complications

Jacqueline Cruz Towns, the mother of Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns, has died due to complications from Coronavirus.


A family spokesperson confirmed her death in a statement released by his team on Monday.


"Jackie, as she was affectionately known among family and friends, had been battling the virus for more than a month when she succumbed on April 13th," the statement said.


"Jackie was many things to many people — a wife, a mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. The matriarch of the Towns family, she was an incredible source of strength; a fiery, caring and extremely loving person who touched everyone she met. Her passion was palpable and her energy will never be replaced.


"The Towns family is extremely grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this very difficult time."

Before her death, Karl-Anthony disclosed that his mom had been battling the virus for more than a month and had been placed in an induced coma on Instagram.


His father, Karl Towns Sr., also contracted Coronavirus but was said to be doing well while in quarantine.

China imposes restriction on research on origin of Coronavirus

China has imposed a restriction on the publication of an academic research on the origins of the novel Coronavirus.



In now-deleted notices published by two Chinese universities, the Central Government directed that all academic work on Coronavirus will go through extra vetting before being submitted for publication. Studies on the origin of the virus will receive extra scrutiny and must be approved by central government officials.



Ministry of Education's science and technology department said;




"Academic papers about tracing the origin of the virus must be strictly and tightly managed."



The new directive is based on instructions issued during a March 25 meeting, held by the State Council's task force on the prevention and control of COVID-19. The document was first posted on Friday morning on the website of the Fudan University in Shanghai, one of China's leading universities. It was taken down after CNN contacted the university.



This is reportedly the Chinese government's latest effort to tighten its grip on the publication of COVID-19 research, amid previous reports of its ploy to control the narrative on the origins of the Coronavirus pandemic.







A Chinese researcher who spoke to CNN on condition of anonymity, said the development might obstruct important scientific research.



The researcher said;




"I think it is a coordinated effort from (the) Chinese government to control (the) narrative, and paint it as if the outbreak did not originate in China. And I don't think they will really tolerate any objective study to investigate the origination of this disease."



Before the new directive, Chinese researchers have published series of COVID-19 studies in influential international medical journals. Some of findings about early coronavirus cases such as when human-to-human transition first appeared clashed with the official government account of the outbreak, and it led to a controversy on Chinese social media.



Since the emergence of Coronavirus in late 2019, over 100,000 people have died and 1.8 million people have been infected worldwide.

A man has taken to social media to share his agony after his mum
Keith, 84, dad Jean MacVicar, 82, and sister Jayne all died of Coronavirus in the space of two weeks according to Birminghamlive.co.uk .


Keith (pictured far right) and Jean (pictured left) died two weeks ago after contracting Covid-19 two weeks ago and then their daughter Jayne, 62, developed symptoms shortly after.



Jayne’s younger brother Richard, 60, reacting to the death of his loved ones said losing half of his family in such a short space of time said he felt like ‘someone has cut him open and stolen his heart’.







When Jayne fell sick, she asked friends to pray for her recovery while
Richard posted on Facebook "Come on, Jayne, stay strong and fight this please."

Now his sister has passed away.

The Oby Ezekwesili's twins, Chine and Chuba tackled Governor Nasir El-Rufai's son, Bello after he disrespected their mother.



Bello El-Rufai had slammed the BBOG activist after she asked him to apologize for threatening to "pass a Twitter user's mother to his friends", a threat many interpreted as gang-rape.



Oby Ezekwesili tweeted;




“Did I just see horrific tweets from your handle threatening gang-rape? What was that? Why the ethnic vitriol toward Igbos? What’s that, Bello? Too tragic!

“You need to not just immediately apologise for those vile tweets but get into an anger management program quickly.

“I have maintained that we can disagree without being disagreeable. We can object without being objectionable. Healthy debates and divergences that arise are important for democratic development of societies.”







Bello who went off on a rant thereafter against the former Minister of Education, also threatened to "attach receipts and her begging days".







His mother, Hadiza El-Rufai also tweeted that she is "not surprised" when a Twitter user disclosed that Oby Ezekwesili "jumped over all the issues, insults and bigotry and slid comfortably into the narrative she felt comfortable with."







However the Ezekwesili twins tackled Bello over his threat, by releasing their own receipts from his father's (Nasir El-Rufai) book and his (Bello) tweets.
