Donald Trump Jr has urged his father to 'fight to the death' over the presidential election and 'go to total war' to expose election 'cheating and fraud' as Joe Biden is still leading in their race. 

 

President Donald Trump's eldest son made the comments on Thursday November 5, as he spoke at a news conference at the Georgia Republican Party Headquarters in Atlanta

 

'I think the number one thing Donald Trump can do in this election is fight each and every one of these battles to the death so that we get full transparency in the process,' Don Jr said. 

 

'And everyone on the Democrat side should welcome this unless they are actually cheating.'

 

He also accused Democrats of ignoring election deadlines, claiming boxes of invalid ballots 'magically' appeared in Democratic states and counties after voting had ended. 

 

'We know that's against the law, but you get in front of a Democrat judge in a Democrat city with Democrat control and it's okay,' he said.  

 

'I think the Democrats are used to this from a Republican party that hasn't had a backbone - you're not going to see that this time around,' he added, prompting cheers from the crowd. 

 

He also claimed it was a 'statistical impossibility' for his father not to receive a single vote in some counties where up to 123,000 ballots were all counted in Joe Biden's favor. 

 

'Does anyone believe that this is possible?' he asked, drawing a resounding 'no' from the crowd.

 

'Because it's not, it's a statistical impossibility. It's happened not just once, it's happened over and over again.' 

 

'Americans need to know that this is not a banana republic and right now very few people have faith that's not the case,' he added.

 

Don Jr made similar comments in a tweet yesterday, in which he said his father should 'go to total war' and 'expose all of the fraud that has been going on for far too long.'

 

Update: Rivers varsity lifts suspension order on two students over Facebook posts

 

The management of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAEU) has lifted the suspension of two of its students over their alleged inciting Facebook posts.

 

Recall that the students, Sunday Idongesit and Remmy Chibuzor, were suspended for one academic session over Facebook comments capable of 'creating panic, confusion and public disorder' in the institution. Here

 

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, who confirmed the pardon in statement issued on Friday, November 6, said the decision was taken following appeals from well-meaning individuals and human rights groups.

"Based on appeals from well-meaning individuals, the Management of Ignatius Ajuru University, on behalf of Senate, hereby lifts the suspension order on the two students: Mr. Chibuzor Remmy and Mr. Sundany Idongesit who published materials on the social media capable of causing public disorder," the statement reads.

 

Two other male students caught in a female hostel have also been pardoned by the management. Recall that the school had banned intersex visits to hostels following the gang rape of a female student by three of her colleagues. 

"In like manner, the two male students caught in the female hostel are hereby forgiven.
The Management, however, warns that henceforth, any student who does anything capable of bringing the University to public ridicule will be disciplined according to the rules and regulations of the University." the statement added.

British model, Eva has denied having an affair with Davido after the singer was mentioned in a social media clash with her former bestie, Kenza. 

 

Recall, Kenza who is also a model, alleged that Eva once made her come as a 'plus one' during a trip with Davido to Mykonos in Greece, and that she was made to look like an escort during the trip. 

 

She alleged that trip happened even when Eva knew that Davido had a "pregnant baby mama." Read previous report here. 

 

Reacting to her friend's claim on Twitter, Eva didn't deny or confirm their trip with Davido to Mykonos in Greece. But the model denied having an affair with the singer and disclosed that she was seeing Black Tycoone, a member of the singer's crew at the time. 

 

She also claimed that her friend intentionally pushed out the wrong narrative. 

 

 

I have not purchased an official car since I became Governor - Sanwo-Olu

 

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has disclosed that he has not purchased an official car for himself since he assumed office in May 2019, 

 

The Lagos state Governor who revealed this at the 22nd Annual Tax Conference of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island in Lagos on Thursday November 5, urged other governors to look into their expenditure profile and do away with unnecessary spending to increase state revenue for the government to have more resources to meet the basic needs of the people. 

 

Stressing the need for better utilisation of taxpayers’ money by public officeholders, Governor Sanwo-Olu further revealed that the cars in his convoy are those he used during his campaign. 

 

He said; 

 

“We need to look at our expenditure profile as chief executive of our state and ask ourselves, where can I cut the red tape; what can I do away with so as to increase the revenue of my state or even make available more money for my state?

“What I have done till date is that I have not purchased any single official vehicle for myself, for any of my personal staff or any of my family members from the government purse. If you see me have a convoy of 10 vehicles, these are all vehicles I was using during my campaigns.

“Governor Nasir el-Rufai joined me in one of my cars this morning and I can tell you that vehicle was one of the vehicles I used for my campaign; it is not brand new.

“So, I said to my people that, it is not a fanciful thing that every governor must begin to buy brand new vehicles when you do not need to. So, all of those millions have gone back into the treasury of the state and we are using it to develop the state very well.

US 2020 Election: Nigerian-American, Nnamdi Chukwuocha wins a state legislative seat

 

Nigerian-American, Nnamdi O. Chukwuocha has won a state seat in the Delaware House of Representatives.

 

Chukwuocha first won the seat in 2018 unopposed and has now won reelection to the Delaware legislative seat today, November 4.

 

                   

 

Chukwuocha was born November 16, 1970 and is an American politician and poet.

 

 He is a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives, representing District. He is also the current Poet Laureate of Delaware, along with his twin brother, Al Mills.

We’re ending estimated electricity billing – President Buhari

 

President Buhari has pledged his administration's determination to end the estimated billing regime in electricity supply.

 

President Buhari made the pledge via his Twitter handle today November 4. The President said the first phase of one million free meters distribution in some parts of the country is already underway.

 

According to him, 6.5 million meters, which would be locally sourced in the Presidential Mass Metering Initiative, would meet the national deficit and impact an estimated 30 million homes across the country.

 

“Under the first phase of the Presidential Mass Metering Initiative, we are making funding immediately available for DisCos to roll out 1,000,000 Meters in the first phase, at no cost to consumers. Deployment has already started in parts of Kano, Kaduna, Lagos and Abuja.

Future phases of this Metering Initiative will help us fully meet the 6.5 million deficit of meters nationwide, and will impact an estimated 30 million consumers. All meters under this program will be sourced from local manufacturers and in-country stock, to create jobs.

We are committed to ending estimated billing in all forms in Nigeria, and ensuring that Nigerians pay only for the electricity they consume''

Iyabo Ojo alleges that she's being threatened after saying she will no longer support APC and PDP

 

Actress Iyabo Ojo has alleged that she is being threatened after saying she will no longer support the APC or PDP in any election. 

 

Recall that the actress had days ago, stated that she will no longer campaign for the two major political parties as she campaigned for an end to bad governance. 

 

In a new post she shared, she alleged that someone sent her a message on celebrities not taking on government and the need for her to calm down. The actress also wondered if "we are now threatened into silence".
