Wife of Oyo State Governor, Mrs Florence Ajimobi has honoured the traffic policewoman, Maryam, who was spotted controlling traffic under the rain few days agoMrs Ajimobi presented a letter of commendation and cash gift to Maryam through the commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs Atinuke Osunkoya at the Police Headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan on Thursday, August 4th. 22 year old Moroccan boxer, Hassan Saada, has been detained by the Brazilian police for allegedly attempting to rape two ladies in the Olympic village at Barra de Tijuca in Brazil on Tuesday morningAccording to the police, Saada invited one of the women to take a selfie with him before pushing her against the wall and trying to kiss her. He allegedly attacked the other one by groping her breast, making sexual graphic gestures and further offered her money for sex.
“It has been necessary to arrest Hassan Saada to investigate the allegations against him. If he was at liberty there would be a risk that he could interfere with witnesses. And there is a risk that Hassan Saada could reoffend.’” said Judge Nunes Saly, stressing that Brazilian laws apply to both Brazilians and visitorsSaada had been scheduled to fight in his first bout on Saturday August 6th against Turkish competitor Mehmet Nadaradade Una. Saada has been stripped of his Olympic competitor status due to the allegations.

Former Miss Jamaica universe, Shakira Martin passes away from sickle cell disease at age 30
Shakira Martin, Former Miss Jamaica Universe is dead. The 30 year old beauty died on Wednesday August 3rd at Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines from blood clots on both lungs and complications of sickle cell anemia she had since birth, According to Jamaican Observer who reported her death;
'Former Miss Jamaica Universe Shakira Martin died at a hospital in Florida last night due to complications with the sickle cell disease. She was 30 years old.
'Martin’s mother, Andrea Hall, confirmed her death in a social media post earlier today. “My darling princess Shakira Aminah passed away at 12:28am from complications from sickle cell blood clots to both lungs” she said.
“Shakira was a fighter, lived her life in the moment, never became a slave to her disease. I will [keep] you posted with all the arrangements which will be both in Florida and Jamaica her favorite place in the whole world. Thanks for your support, prayers, phone calls, texts,” she added in her Facebook post.
