Warner Bros. Television dismisses TV personality A.J. Calloway following multiple sexual misconduct accusations

Warner Bros. Television has dismissed “Extra” host A.J. Calloway following the studio’s investigation into sexual assault allegations against the American TV personality.



The company said it decided to part ways with Calloway, 44, after investigating the claims against him, according to a statement obtained by Variety. The statement said it was a “mutual” decision by Warner Bros. and Calloway.


“The company has investigated the claims made into Mr. Calloway’s conduct and he and the company have mutually agreed to part ways,” a Warners rep says in the statement.


This comes after Warner Bros. had previously suspended Calloway in February after the total number of women accusing Calloway of misconduct rose to six.



Back in 2006, the host was arrested after author and activist Sil Lai Abrams accused him of sexually assaulting her, but those charges were dropped. Last January, two women told the Daily Beast that Calloway had sexually assaulted them.


At that time, Calloway denied the accusations in a statement released through his attorney Lisa E. Davis.



Calloway said in the statement, “As I have maintained from the beginning, these allegations are not true. When I was first notified about these allegations by law enforcement more than a decade ago, I fully cooperated from the beginning and the case was dismissed.”

Meghan Markle is to launch her own line of women's clothing in aid of charity

Meghan Markle is set to launch her own women’s clothing line in aid of charity.



The Duchess of Sussex revealed this in the new issue of British Vogue which she guest edited.



The new mum has persuaded major British retailers Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and Jigsaw - along with her designer friend, Mischa Nonoo - to create a "capsule" collection of women’s workwear which will benefit Smart Works, a charity helping women back into the workplace. Each time a piece is bought from one of the retailers, a "like for like" item will be donated to the charity.



Smart Works, one of Meghan’s first patronages, helps women from disadvantaged backgrounds get interview-ready by providing them with a new outfit and coaching from a team of volunteer mentors, according to Daily Mail.



Meghan writes in the September issue of British Vogue: "When you walk into a Smart Works space you’re met with racks of clothing and an array of bags and shoes. Sometimes, however, it can be a potpourri of mismatched sizes and colours, not always the right stylistic choices or range of sizes.



"To help with this, I asked Marks & Spencer, John Lewis & Partners, Jigsaw and my friends, the designer Mischa Nonoo, if they were willing to design a capsule collection of more classic options for a workwear wardrobe.

"Taking the idea further, many of the brands agreed to use the one-for-one model: for each item purchased by a customer, one is donated to the charity. Not only does this allow us to be part of each other’s story, it reminds us we are in it together."



A royal source confirmed the idea had been Meghan’s and said the collection would be available later this year but no further details could be given at present.





While still working as an actress on the legal drama Suits in Toronto, Meghan had her own clothing line with local retailer, Reitmans, featuring vegan leather trousers.

Disney Star, Cameron Boyce's death was 'sudden' and 'unexpected,' coroner says

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner has said that Cameron Boyce's cause of death was "sudden unexpected death in epilepsy.



On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, the Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed the death of the actor who died at the age of 20.



“The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner determined the cause of death for actor Cameron Boyce was sudden unexpected death in epilepsy,” the coroner said in a statement.



“On July 8, an autopsy was performed, and the cause and manner of death were deferred.”

“After additional testing, the cause of death was determined to be sudden unexpected death in epilepsy.”

The star’s “manner of death was certified as natural,” the coroner concluded.



On Saturday 6 July 2019, the actor was found unresponsive by his roommate after suffering seizures in his sleep which was triggered by his epilepsy.



Cameron who rose to fame at the age of nine went on to appear in horror film, Mirrors, as well as mystery-thriller film, Eagle Eye. In 2010, Cameron played the son of Adam Sandler’s character in the comedy film, Grown Ups.



He was also a cast in a co-starring role on the Disney Channel comedy series Jessie in the role of Luke Ross. After that, Cameron played Carlos in Disney film Descendants and reprised the character for the animated shorts Descendants: Wicked World and in the 2017 sequel Descendants 2.
