What is the secret to TV chef Jamie Oliver ’s happy 15-year marriage to Jools? White lies, apparently.
The dad-of-four admits: “I try not to do big lies, but subtle, gentle white lies are generally the key to a slightly happier life.
"They’re absolutely essential in a long-term marriage, I can assure you.”
We can’t tell if he’s fibbing or not.
The Celebrity chef recently admitted he buys his children a weekly bag of sweets and has insisted he does not want to be a “Nazi” about sugar.
Jamie, who is calling for a tax on sugar, urged David Cameron to be “bold and brave” last month after the Prime Minister vetoed introducing a levy.
But in an interview he conceded his four children are given 50p each to spend on sweets at the weekend.
He told the Sunday Times food magazine: “The kids get a little bag - you don’t get many sweets for 50p."
