US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump hardly spend time together, according to Washington Post.
A friend close to the president revealed that the Trumps live separate lives and hardly do anything together in their personal lives.
"They spend very little to no time together," the friend told Washington Post.
According to current and former aides, the president and first lady often do not eat together at the White House, and people familiar with their schedules claim they spend their free time apart.
This doesn't come as a surprise to many, considering that the couple has been filmed multiple times in awkward poses. There was that one time Melania was seen batting his hand away on a tarmac. There have also been other times where she was seen resisting her husband's touch.
But Melania’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham disagrees with this presentation of their relationship, and told the paper:
Aside from the president’s solo trips, the family spends most evenings together [and Melania] is focused on being a mom. She’s focused on being a wife, and she’s focused on her role as first lady. And that’s it. The rest is just noise.
Social media users do not agree with Grisham's statement and have shared videos of occasions where Melania was seen avoiding Donald Trump's touch.
