Runtown, The UK Promoter and Nana: The Love triangle Nigerians are talking about online

There's a very interesting story blowing up online now about Nigerian singer, Runtown.

Truth be told, LIB got the scoop a few days back via an anonymous email. A few hours before the drama blew up online this morning,we got another email that reads, 'Linda; you want to pretend as if you didn't hear that London promoter BadGuyToba and his fiancée who had a lavish proposal in September have split for her allegedly sleeping with Runtown recently, do your investigations.




This gist is all over Snapchat. He has deleted all pictures from IG and she too and gone private; also Davido and a friend confirmed it on Snapchat too and Toba has been giving hints and saying he will talk about it in due time and saying he has a son to take care off. Saying 'hide your wife from Runtown'.
The story got a bit more interesting when screenshots of an alleged Davido Snapschat post got out. The Davido post reads, 'Keep y'all wife's away from Runtown oo lmao'.






However a source in Runtown's camp who spoke to LIB, said, 'please Ignore the gist, it's not true at all, Runtown has been busy and focused on dropping hits and working on another song. We really don't know where this is coming from'.

LIB's effort to reach the other parties involved as at the time of this post has not yielded any result.

"Stop defaming us, you invited us under falsehood" - Police tells Sowore

As the accusations and counter accusation in the on going case between Sahara reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore and Lekan Fatodu continues, LIB has reached out to the Lagos State Police PRO, Dolapo Badmus for further clarification on the matter.



Dolapo tells LIB that, 'it is unfortunate that Sowore and his lawyers continue to malign and defame the Nigerian Police and the good office of the Lagos State CP, Fatai Owoseni with their falsehood'.



She adds that, 'for the record, Sowore and his accuser Lekan Fatodu were not detained by the Nigerian Police. Sowore was the one who made a false ‘armed robbery’ phone call to the Police and in our usual manner we responded swiftly with the aim of protecting life but unfortunately it turned out to be false alarm from someone who should be of high reputation. The command has not, cannot and will not be used by any one to attack another citizen`as insinuated by sowore.


'We remain committed to our duty of protecting lives and property, and no amount of defamation can derail us from been focused. The commissioner of police Cp Fatai Owoseni who has performed gallantly well in ensuring safety of lives and property in Lagos will not be distracted by attitude of an individual who has set out to malign him as he's busy strategising on how to continually ensure safety of lives and property within Lagos State and it's environ" she added.

Paris Jackson wins! Episode starring Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson in TV comedy series has been cancelled after outcry

The episode in a TV comedy series, Urban Myth, which offended Paris Jackson because a white actor portrayed Michael Jackson will not be aired on Sky Art. Sky released a statement Friday, following Paris' rant that the episode has been cancelled adding that they never intended to cause any offence. Asides Paris' outburst, another factor that probably led to the episode being pulled was a petition signed by more than 20,000 people to boycott the episode in objection to Joseph Fiennes being cast as Michael Jackson. The statement from Sky read:

"We have taken the decision not to broadcast Elizabeth, Michael and Marlon, a half-hour episode from the Sky Arts Urban Myths series, in light of the concerns expressed by Michael Jackson's immediate family.
"We set out to take a light-hearted look at reportedly true events and never intended to cause any offence. Joseph Fiennes fully supports our decision."Paris Jackson, the 18-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, said she was “surprised” but happy with Sky Arts’ decision to cancel the upcoming episode of anthology series Urban Myths: A Brand New Collection of TV Comedies that featured white actor Joseph Fiennes as the late pop icon.

“I’m surprised the family’s feelings were actually taken into consideration for once, we all really do appreciate it more than y’all know,” Paris wrote on Twitter, Friday, in response to a user’s tweet about the decision.

Michael Jackson's older brother TJ Jackson and his nephew Taj Jackson also expressed their appreciation on Twitter for the cancellation.



The now-canceled episode was set to tell the much-debunked urban legend of Michael’s cross-country road trip with close pals Elizabeth Taylor (played by Emmy- and Tony-winning actress Stockard Channing) and Marlon Brando (Brian Cox).

36-year-old Nigerian man, Igwe Francis died under mysterious circumstances, moments after he got into a scuffle with his former landlord, in southwest Delhi’s Uttam Nagar, on January 6th, 2017. Francis reportedly got into an argument with his former landlord, Liaquat Ali, who claimed he owed him Rs 30,000 in rent. According to the Police, since Francis was not fluent in English, Ali wrote the figure “30,000” on a signboard at the spot.
The two then got into a scuffle, following which Francis tried to run away. But after running 200 metres, he collapsed on the road, police said, citing eyewitnesses. He was rushed to a hospital nearby, but it didn’t have life-saving equipment. Francis was then taken to Mata Chanan Devi Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. DCP (southwest) Surender Kumar said initial investigation revealed Francis had bruises on his body.


"As per the initial report doctors gave us, he had an injury on the back of his head. We are yet to establish if he hurt himself or if he was beaten up. We have questioned at least 25 people, but none of them said he was beaten up. We are conducting a thorough investigation," said the DCP.He said the Ministry of External Affairs has been informed about the incident. Ali is being questioned and investigation will be complete within 30 days, Kumar said. Police sources said a case was filed after the medical report revealed a head injury.

On January 8, Ali was booked under IPC Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder).

The case was filed on the basis of a complaint by the victim’s brother, whom he called minutes before he collapsed.

According to the FIR, Francis said over the phone that he was "being attacked". The brother, who did not wish to be named, said,

"I received a call from him that his previous landlord was harassing him. He called me again saying he was being attacked and needed my help. A few minutes later, when I arrived, I found him lying unconscious on the road."He alleged that Francis was dragged inside a garage and beaten up by three people.

"He managed to escape but collapsed on the road," he said.

A scorned woman is currently on the run after she doused her husband’s pregnant lover with acid in Kampong Speu province, Cambodia on Tuesday, January 10th.
The victim, Pheng Sreyla, 23, yesterday described how she was held and beaten by the wife and several family members of her lover, 36-year-old Choem Vuthy.


"While they were beating me, the suspect grabbed two bottles and poured them down on my head," she said. "I felt very hot on my head, face and my eyes; it was like fire."Sreyla, a garment worker at a small handicraft manufacturer, was collecting her paycheck when she was allegedly set upon by Vuthy’s wife, Chhum Savun, 34, along with Savun’s mother, Huy Van, 66, and siblings, Chhum Savarng, 37, and Chhum Sarvuth, 28.

"Now I cannot see, and the doctor told me that if I still cannot see in two weeks, I will be blind forever," Sreyla said through tears.Returning to her Ralaing Kroeul commune home for police interviews, Sreyla said she was seeking justice. She is three months pregnant with Vuthy’s child.

"I know that I love her husband, but I have never wanted them to get divorced. I told the suspect that I am willing to be the second wife,” she said.Mech Sophoan, Samraong Tong district deputy police chief in charge of serious crimes, said the mother and siblings of Savun had been arrested, but Savun, who he considered the mastermind of the attack, had fled.
Police were also seeking another man, Chea Ros, 36, who was suspected of being involved. Sophoan said the chief suspect’s sister, Savarng, claimed not to know that acid would be spilled in the ambush.
"But it might be that my sister is jealous of the victim, who had an affair with her husband for years and urged her husband to divorce [my sister] and live with her," she said, according to Sophoan.
