COVID19 is another Boko Haram, it is real- Borno deputy governor warns state residents as 16 health workers test positive for the virus

Borno Deputy Governor, Umar Usman Kadafur, has said some residents of the state doubt the existence of Coronavirus just as they dismissed Boko Haram activities when it initially started some years ago.

Kadafur who is the chairman of the state's response team for the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic, stated this while responding to newsmen at a daily Media update on the pandamic held at the goverment house, Maiduguri.

He said despite the increasing rate of spread of the pandemic, a large number of people in the state do not believe the existence of the virus, adding that it is rather unfortunate that lots of people participated in burial ceremonies and observed congregational prayers against the rules of social distancing.

“When Boko Haram started, a lot people felt it was something not to be taken seriously, until when it consumed everybody. This covid-19 is another Boko Haram coming, and yet people don't believe it's real. I keep saying it's real. As a response team we'll continue telling the general public and reaching out with advocacy” Kadafur said

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of health, Dr. Salisu Kwayabura, revealed that in the last 48 hours, 16 Medical health workers have been affected by the covid-19 pandamic.

He also advised residents to maintain the NCDC guidelines of hand washing, personal hygiene, social distancing, and avoid large gatherings to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. Dr. Kwayabura further urged the residents to wear face masks when leaving their homes, and wash their hands when they return.

Borno state currently has 75 confirmed cases of COVID19.

Donald Trump reacts to the reappearance of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un

US President, Donald Trump has reacted to the reappearance of North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un.

Trump retweeted North Korean state media photos of Kim attending a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory and wrote: "I, for one, am glad to see he is back, and well!" Trump wrote.

I, for one, am glad to see he is back, and well! https://t.co/mIWVeRMnOJ— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 2, 2020

This was Kim's first public appearance in about three weeks after intense speculation over his health when he failed to attend his late grandfather's birthday celebration on 15 April.

At that time, there were reports that he underwent a life-saving heart surgery, which either wasn't done rapidly enough, or it was botched completely by the surgeon.

KCNA news agency reported that Mr. Kim cut the ribbon at the opening of the fertiliser factory on Friday, and added that crowds "broke into thunderous cheers of hurrah" when he appeared.

According to Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Mr Kim was accompanied by several senior North Korean officials, including his sister Kim Yo-jong.

The North Korean leader cut a ribbon at a ceremony at the plant, in a region north of Pyongyang, and people who were attending the event "burst into thunderous cheers of 'hurrah!' for the Supreme Leader who is commanding the all-people general march for accomplishing the great cause of prosperity", KCNA said.

Tanasha Donna fires back at Diamond Platnumz's friend who said she was dumped because she was lazy in bed

Tanasha Donna has fired back at her baby daddy, Diamond Platnumz's friend who claimed she was dumped because she was lazy in bed.

In an interview with Bona TV, Juma Lokole echoed Diamond's stance of being ready to marry the Kenyan media personality, but added that her laziness in bed crashed their relationship. He further described her as a slay queen who is lazy in bed.

Lokole said;

“Diamond was ready to marry Tanasha but she was always talking about love. There is no love in marriage. You just need to let your waist work and entertain your man. She was lazy in bed and always sitting with her nails looking like a zombie.

“Tanasha was more of a slay queen. She was always talking about her music and taking the Tanasha we see out here to their bedroom. She would have left the stylish Tanasha outside and act like a woman.”

Tanasha who fired back at Lokole in now deleted Instagram post, stated that he shouldn't be the one judging her because he "doesn't do women". She further described him as an "empty vessel".

She wrote;

"It’s sad how some people only have negative things to say when they know absolutely NOTHING about you. Remember gossip is shared by the misinformed who often sound like fools, while creating ongoing drama & disorder. ~ Translate that GIIIIRL"

"Lazy? But why don’t you try me to confirm if it is true? How many seconds will you last though?

“Oh wait, I forgot you do not do women so I guess you will never know. But hey, you know what they say: empty vessels make a lot of noise."

The Presidential aide further disclosed that a Rano Emirate official also told him that the burial ceremony was attended by less than 20 people.

He tweeted;

The remains of late Emir of Rano buried inside his Palace approximately an hour ago, with less than 20 people attended the burial, but a fake video of thousands people has been trending throughout the day, purported to be his burial, it was not, Rano Emirate official told me.
