Rapper Lil Kim named a person of interest in BET Weekend robbery

Lil Kim is in the crosshairs of the LAPD after her crew allegedly robbed a woman over a BET party house ... TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us, Kim rented a house for a BET weekend party but apparently the crib was not to her liking.
We're told Sunday at 2 AM Kim and her crew went to check out the house, didn't like it and demanded their money back from either the owner or property manager. The money wasn't forthcoming, an argument erupted and cops were called. Police arrived and told them it was a civil matter and they could do nothing ... so they left. We're told Kim and her crew also left, but at 4 AM, a group of people showed up at the house with ski masks and weapons and got what they were after ... Kim's deposit check and cash, totaling at least $20k. Law enforcement sources say the robbers weren't done ... they also slashed all of the victim's tires and stole a hubcap. The LAPD has launched a robbery investigation. We reached out to Kim's people ... so far, no word back

Eid-el-Fitr: Senator Kwamkwaso secures release of 290 prisoners in Kano

Senator Rabiu Kwamkwaso has secured the release of 290 inmates, who were serving various jail terms in various prisons in the state.


Break down of the number: Goron Dutse prison 70, Gwarzo prison 47, Tudun Wada prison 110, central prison 38, Kiru prison 25.



13 of the beneficiaries were females while the remaining 277 were males who were arrested and prosecuted for committing various criminal offences.

The beneficiaries were given N3000 each to enable them transport themselves to their respective home towns and villages to participate in the Eid El-Fitr.

Chris Brown said he was trying to get Karrueche Tran pregnant when he discovered he had fathered a child

Karrueche Tran ended her relationship with Chris Brown after she discovered he had fathered a child while dating her. And as much as Chris tried to get her back, Karrueche refused to give their relationship another go.

Speaking about that time in his documentary, Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life, Chris Brown said he had been actively trying to get Karrueche pregnant when he found out about the Nia Guzman pregnancy. He said;



"During me and Karrueche’s [first] breakup, like August and September [2013] was when my child was conceived. As the time goes on, I am on this tour, this big tour we doing. I get a phone call, a girl crying and I am like, ‘What’s up?’ And I am like, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ And she was like, ‘Yo, he is not the father. You the father of the baby.’ At this time, I am in a relationship, I am trying to get my girl pregnant at the time, and I am trying to do the right thing as a boyfriend, not cheat and not mess with no girl, none of that stuff, so I am like whoa!” Chris says in his documentary.

Sultan of Sokoto announces end to Ramadan, declares Sunday June 25th Eid-el-Fitr Day

Sultan of Sokoto and President-General Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has declared the end of the Ramadan in Nigeria and also declared June 25th as Eid-el-Fitri.
According to the Sultan, the new moon which signifies the end of the Ramadan, was sighted in parts of the country including Borno, Yobe and Adamawa. He therefore asked Muslims all over Nigeria to cease to fast as it is not permitted to fast on Sallah day.

Notorious cult group, Badoo, hack couple to death in Ikorodu

Notorious cult group, Badoo, on Friday, struck again, killing a couple at the Idioro area of Ogijo, Ikorodu town in Lagos. This would be the umpteenth time the cult members have carried out attacks on residents of the town. According to reports , the battered remains of the couple was found on Friday after a neighbor raised an alarm.
The said neighbor had given the couple her phone to charge in their home situated in an uncompleted building on Thursday June 22nd.
After calling repeatedly so that she could come to collect her phone and there was no answer, the neighbor decided to wait the next day to go to their house to pick it up. When she got there, she knocked for them to come out but there was no response.
After several calls and bangs, there door was forced open and there, the battered remains of the couple was found lying on the floor. Just by their remains, was a grinding stone, the trademark of any killing done by the cult members. The remains of the coupe to deposited at a morgue in Sagamu while the grinding stone was taken to Ogijo Division for further investigations.


Residents of the area later took to the street to stage a protest over the recurring attacks carried out by the cult group members.

River State governor Nyesom Wike sacks all his commissioners

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has dismissed all his commissioners, just 24 hours after the Commissioner for Information, Austin Tam-George, resigned from the cabinet.


A statement issued Saturday by the governor’s spokesperson, Simeon Nwakaudu, directed the commissioners to hand over to the permanent secretaries in their respective ministries.



“Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has dissolved the State Executive Council. The governor directed all former commissioners to handover to their respective Permanent Secretaries. Governor Wike thanked the former commissioners for their service to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.”


The statement did not give reasons for the termination of the commissioners' appointments.


Governor Wike had earlier sacked his Commissioner for Works, Bathuel Harrison.


The governor has now joined the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha and Governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu who also dissolved their cabinet this year.
