Acid attack victim releases before and now photos to celebrate turning 24 and being a survivor



















An acid attack victim, whose life changed forever exactly 15 years ago when her uncle's wife doused her with acid, is celebrating turning 24.



Chizzy Obanye Frances, a biochemist, shared before and now photos two days ago which was the fifteenth anniversary of her attack.



Today, being her 24th birthday, she released beautiful new photos to celebrate being a survivor and to thank God for keeping her healthy.

Existing and new customers of Smile Nigeria are to benefit from a new set of data plans dubbed ValuePlus that offer more value at affordable prices. Through the new offering Smile customers are to benefit from the data plans that now offer double the value (100% increase in data volume) on their existing 30 days data plans at more affordable prices.



The ValuePlus data plans, explained Akin Alayoku, Ag Managing Director of Smile Nigeria, is to give double value at more affordable prices to its customers. Alayoku disclosed that the offerings are unprecedented in the range of the data plans on offer and unsurpassed in the value that will accrue to the customers who will take advantage of the offerings.



Alayoku stated that the new improved data plans as a package are as robust as they are versatile. Each of the offering is tailor-made for both the individual and corporate users. He urged forward-looking customers and prospects alike to embrace any of their preferred offerings and savor the benefits of double value.

Alayoku was emphatic that existing customers are assured of the best bargains; in service quality and rendition. Customers on the Smile network will instead of the old offer of 2GB at N2,000 will now have 5GB at N3,000. For 3GB that was priced at N3,000 consumers will now get 7GB at N4,000. In place of 5GB at N4,000 customers will now get 11 GB at N5,000 and in place of 7GB at N5,000 Smile now offers 15GB at N6,000. There are also other packages that have transformed the old 10GB at N7,500 to 21GB at N8,000 as well as 15GB at N10,000 to 31GB at N11,000.



Alayoku assured that Smile is continuously innovating to beat existing market benchmark all in a bid to provide products that will serve their customer’s best interest in the present turbulent market landscape. He restated that Smile’s vision and mission is to be the broadband provider of choice and to enable its customers to benefit fully from the Internet world for data and voice. “Smile will continue to bring value to its users as a long term strategy and bring explosive growth in mobile data usage. Ace Nigerian comedian, Alibaba has reacted to the viral video of the mother of a Queen's College student fighting the security guards of the government-owned girl's secondary school for turning back her daughter who fixed eyelashes.



The comedian who sarcastically wished the 'Slay Queen' student a happy mother's day, stated that there are rules. He added that he will use the comments passed off over the viral video to weed out people he described as "senseless" from his timeline.




Alibaba wrote "happy Mother's Day... slay queen... from queens' college. Not Queens' College ooo. Because there are rules. (Let me come use this video to weed out some senseless people from my timeline)"

Jose Mourinho appointed new head coach of Tottenham Hotspur












Jose Mourinho has been hired as the next head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, the English soccer club has announced.



The Portuguese coach will replace Mauricio Pochettino, who was fired just six months after leading the London-based team to the Champions League final.


In an official statement by the club, 'we are delighted to announce the appointment of Jose Mourinho as Head Coach on a contract that runs until the end of the 2022/23 season. Jose is one of the world’s most accomplished managers having won 25 senior trophies.

He is renowned for his tactical prowess and has managed FC Porto, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United.

He has won a domestic title in a record four different countries (Portugal, England, Italy and Spain) and is one of only three managers to have won the UEFA Champions League twice with two clubs, FC Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010.

He is also a three-time Premier League Champion with Chelsea (2005, 2006, 2015).

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Daniel Levy said: “In Jose we have one of the most successful managers in football. He has a wealth of experience, can inspire teams and is a great tactician. He has won honours at every club he has coached. We believe he will bring energy and belief to the dressing room.”


Speaking on his appointment, Jose said: “I am excited to be joining a Club with such a great heritage and such passionate supporters. The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me. Working with these players is what has attracted me

N1tn was spent on NASS constituency projects in 10-years without results – President Buhari












President Buhari has said that the over N1 trillion spent on the constituency projects of National Assembly members in the last 10 years has produced no results.



He said data collected from Nigerians in rural communities showed that they had not felt the impact of such projects. President Buhari spoke at the National Summit on Diminishing Corruption in Public Sector, which opened at the State House Conference Centre on Tuesday, November 19th in Abuja.



The event was organised by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission.


“N1tn has been appropriated in the last 10 years for constituency projects, but the impact can hardly be seen,” he stated.

The President directed the ICPC to go after the contractors who collected funds for such projects and their collaborators in government.
