President Trump makes historic visit to North Korea's Demilitarized Zone (Photo)

President Donald Trump on Sunday shook hands with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as they met at the demilitarized zone that has divided the Korean peninsula for 66 years.

After shaking hands with Kim over the line that marks where their two countries and their allies fought each other to a standstill in the 1950-53 Korean War, Trump walked for several steps into North Korean territory, before another handshake.

The two men then walked into Seoul’s territory together pausing on the line for photographers where they were joined by South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

The impromptu meeting in the DMZ which came after Trump issued an invitation on Twitter on Saturday comes with negotiations between Pyongyang and Washington over the North’s nuclear arsenal at a deadlock.

I was abused a lot in different ways at different stage and I almost got used to it - Gospel singer, Sola Allyson

Gospel singer, Sola Allyson has shared her sexual assault stories as a child growing up.

Triggered by Busola Dakolo's recent rape allegation against Pastor Fatoyinbo, the gospel singer said, 'I was abused a lot. Different ways at different stages. I almost got used to it. I am still healing. because I speak ! It hurts but I speak'.

The singer said she paid a visit to her mum to relive some of her childhood sexual abuse encounters and here's what she wrote;

I was at my Mother's today... There had been issues, since my childhood. But that story, for another time... So, I was asking her questions, out of pain.. Then, this conversation below took place:

Me: "Do you know that your cousin, when you left me at shdgrigofn, molested me?" I was in primary school. Over 30 years ago... I remember everything clearly... I was confused. What would I say? How would I say it?

Her: Eyes wide!

Me: "Do you know that Mr. Thshdudidj nearly raped me? The one that used to come to your shop..." Her: Eyes wider, mouth agape, "why didn't you tell me?" Me: "Tell you? How? When there was no connection and it showed you didn't like me? Kò possible nao!" Me: "That man that used to come and take beer and peppersoup in your shop, after I served him one day, brought out his penis that I should play with." I was like 14-15. I ran away from the shop. You didn't bother to ask why, you only punished me by depriving me of food for days because, "that's where you get money from." Her: No words

Me: "Do you remember that time when...." And so on

Her: No words, looking what-do-I-say kind of. I love her!

We talked about other things... I felt a lot better. The anger I'd been feeling for days subsided... I'm still healing. I was abused a lot. Different ways at different stages. I almost got used to it. I am still healing. Because I SPEAK! It hurts but I SPEAK!

This is my story. This is my song. Told in this way I choose. Sung in this form I deem fit. But I SPEAK! For the sake of my kind, who have been made "sick" by abuse of all sorts. Not for you? Please move on. I'm not begging for "fanhood"! It is not only for Busola's sake that we are doing this. It is for our women, our daughters, our sons, our future! She murdered her privacy to SPEAK. She risked it all... Yes, I believe her. You won't listen to my music again? If it is because of this, it's ok. I wish you well. But you will be replaced by millions others from here, from distant shores and islands! Where I'm going is far. Everything in Creation backs me up as I stand and SPEAK for the TRUTH, only.

SPEAK, Child, therefrom your healing begins!

Manchester United complete £50m signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace and he'll earn £80,000 a week (Photos)

Manchester United have finally completed the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka after splashing £50million to get the defender from Crystal Palace.

The 21-year-old England star signed a five-year deal worth £80,000-a-week that will keep him at the club until at least 2024.

Wan-Bissaka will wear the No 29 on his back at Old Trafford.

According to the transfer deal, United will pay an initial fee of £45m, with another £5m due in add-ons should the player hit certain performance targets.

Wan-Bissaka told United's website: 'It's an unbelievable feeling and an honour to call myself a Manchester United player and something I know that only a small number of players have the privilege to say.

'I can't wait to get going and integrated into the squad. I will have a short break now after the European Championships but I'm looking forward to starting training with the manager and my new team-mates on the pre-season tour.'

Speaking on the successful capture of the defender, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: 'Aaron is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League. He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Manchester United and he fits exactly the type of player that we are looking to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further.

'Aaron is a young, hungry player and eager to learn and that's important at his age. I am delighted he has signed with us and we look forward to continuing his tremendous development so far.'

Aaron Wan-Bissaka now joins winger Daniel James, who became the first summer arrival at Old Trafford when the 21-year-old joined from Swansea for £18m.

If you’re not corrupt, declare your assets - PDP tells Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party has challenged President Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo to publicly declare their assets to prove to Nigerians and the world that they are not corrupt.

The main opposition party also asked the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, to make public their assets to convince Nigerians.

The PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Diran Odeyemi, in a statement on Friday said,

“We are of the opinion that President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, and Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, should declare openly their assets to allow Nigerians to further see how much wealth they have acquired since joining government.

“We believe laying claim to sainthood is easy as Buhari and others have been doing all along, but Nigerians deserve to see beyond whatever the government forces down their throats. By making public declaration of their assets, Nigerians will be able to see better and judge accordingly.

“By making public their assets, Nigerians will see how many cattle in 2019 had been added to what Buhari had in 2015. Blowing hot and cold at the same time is not the hallmark of a leader with clean hands.”

He warned that should Buhari and others fail to make public declaration of their assets, further aspersions would be cast on the anti-graft efforts of the present administration. He alleged that rather than build on the innovations introduced by the PDP administrations to end graft, Buhari appeared ''directionless and uncoordinated to stop corruption in the country. ''

He said, “We urge Buhari and other top government officials to be more coordinated and exhibit transparency not only in fighting graft but in their dealings with Nigerians, because, no matter how fast lies have moved, in a flight, truth will catch up.

Mother and daughter hacked to death over witchcraft allegation

An Indian mother and daughter were hacked to death by three men over allegations of witchcraft in the country’s remote tribal-dominated east.

According to police reports, the 50-year-old woman and her young daughter were beaten by their neighbours before being attacked with knives on Wednesday night in West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand state.

Police said the victims’ family was embroiled in a land dispute with one of the accused, who used black magic allegations as a cover-up to commit the crime.

“One of the accused told the villagers that the women were witches and responsible for deaths and diseases in the village. They attacked the women in the night and killed them brutally,” district police chief Indrajit Mahatha told AFP.

The woman’s husband filed a complaint against the accused who are on the run, he said. More than 2,000 people many of them women were killed in India on suspicion of witchcraft between 2000 and 2012, according to the National Crime Records Bureau. Some states, including Jharkhand, have introduced special laws to try to curb crimes against people accused of witchcraft and superstition.

According to reports, belief in witchcraft and the occult remains widespread in impoverished rural communities across India. There are also occasional reports of human sacrifices. Earlier this month police in northeastern Assam state said they suspected a case of human sacrifice after finding the headless body of a woman near a Hindu temple.

Deportations of undocumented migrants to begin after July 4 - President Trump announces

US President Donald Trump has said that the deportation of undocumented migrants will begin after July 4.

“We will be removing large numbers of people starting sometime after July 4,” Trump said as additional report said that US Immigration authorities had earlier announced plan to launch a sweeping effort to deport recently arrived undocumented families.

The operation is expected to target up to 2,000 families facing deportation orders in as many as 10 US cities, including Houston, Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles, according to a media report . A spokesman for the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement declined to comment, saying,

“Due to law-enforcement sensitivities and the safety and security of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel, the agency will not offer specific details related to enforcement operations before the conclusion of those actions.”

The Acting Director of ICE, Mark Morgan, said the agency would target for deportation families that have received a removal order from a US immigration court. Morgan said ICE wanted to deport undocumented families who had recently arrived in the US to discourage more Central Americans from arriving.

Trump had tweeted, before the formal kickoff of his 2020 re-election campaign, that ICE would begin removing “the millions” of undocumented immigrants in the US. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the country’s top Democrat, responded, saying, “The president’s new threat of a mass deportation dragnet is an act of utter malice and bigotry, designed solely to inject fear in our communities.”
