DJ Spinall and Shody’s Floor-Thumping Performance That Tore Through Benin

“It’s a lieeeeeee”, a young student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin, Edo State, screeched as multiple award-winning DJ and music producer, Sodamola Oluseye “DJ Spinall” Desmond, and the Turn Up King , Kunle “Shody” Oshodi-Glover, stepped into the Hall 2 carpark on Thursday, October 31, 2019 for the MTN Pulse Campus Invasion.

Ainuoluwa Mercy, a UNIBEN student had shyly stepped into the venue with Spinall and Shodi a few minutes earlier. The student had a permanent grin across her face as she struggled to contain her excitement. She was the winner of the Pulse social media trivia game which guaranteed that she would meet the ‘Dis Love’ star. She had just been chauffeur-driven from her hostel, with both stars flanking her in the back seat as they chatted non-stop.

A day before his arrival, DJ Spinall had released a video on his official Instagram page, sharing why he would be giving a must-watch performance. He added that ten lucky winners would also be surprised. This was after a series of teasers as to the identity of the celebrity that would visit the school. A perfect prelude for the adrenaline-seeking, fun-loving university students.

Twenty minutes after their arrival, nearly a thousand sweaty students twisted and turned in ecstasy as the beats from Spinall and the encouragement from Shodi tore through the speakers. Within an hour, hundreds of exhilarated voices nearly drowned out the mega speakers at the venue. The show was in full swing and there was no one who had the time to be courteous about the sound or noise!

After a thumping performance that left many a student with no voices, the young attendees craned their necks to watch their main attractions leave to spend a day with ten of their lucky colleagues.

It was a great way to end what had been a thoroughly rollicking performance from the stars.

The stars visited the school as part of the week-long MTN Pulse Invasion series, which was the first for the year. It began with exciting activities at the Sales Village in the same venue on Monday, October 28. Renowned photographer, Kelechi Amadi-Obi; life strategist and business coach, Steve Harris and mental health awareness advocate and graphologist, Oladipupo Macjob, thrilled the students with talks on life and success at the highly anticipated Pulse Talk Series on Wednesday.

David Adefeso and Tamar Braxton leave followers wondering if it's over between them as he shares cryptic IG post

David Adefeso took to Instagram to write a cryptic post about closing one door in order to have another open for you and it had his followers wondering if all is well between him and Tamar, especially because, only one day ago, Tamar Braxton shared a post talking about a man who lays with you for days but doesn't touch you (read here).

In David's post, he spoke about a storefront that looks dazzling but "the insides have been so beaten up and abused over the decades by bad tenants that no amount of tender loving care is capable of bringing it back to life."

He added that at this point, "one needs to find the strength to pick up and go open up a new store no matter how much love and hope has been invested in this one."

He added in the caption: "Sometimes you have to close one door in order to have another one open up for you!"

Tamar replied to the post, writing: "I know that right!! Periodt"

This led to speculations that trouble might be brewing in their relationship, especially coming after Tamar's initial post.

But Tamar seems to have shut the speculations down by sharing a video of David and her son bonding in a car while singing along to the song playing.

Who did this to Mercy and Ike of Big Brother Naija? lol

The former BBNaija housemates recently did a cover shoot recreating a photo Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner took for GQ magazine.

Nigerians had a lot to say about the photo, including veteran actress Ms Joke Silva (read here).

Now, someone has brought together photos of Stormi Webster's parents and the BBNaija lovebirds; with Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner as the original (what I ordered) vs Ike and Mercy as the copy (what I got).

Which do you prefer, the original or the copy?

Nigerian lady denies the existence of 'magun', says it is 'penis captivus'

A Nigerian Twitter user has denied the existence of magun, a popular charm among the Yoruba people commonly used to curb infidelity.

The US-based Nigerian lady who debunked the potency of the charm which reportedly leaves sexual partners stuck to each other, said it "occurs during sexual intercourse when the muscles in the vagina clamp down on the penis much more firmly than usual, making it impossible for the penis to be withdrawn from the vagina."

@Nnadede_1 tweeted;

Magun which literally means "do not climb" is usually laid without consent and/or trickily. A broomstick or thread can be placed on a doorstep or walkway for the woman to cross over. The charm reportedly leaves the woman and her lover stuck like glue while having sex. The man cannot detach himself from the woman no matter how hard he tries, and this sometimes leads to death and in some cases a public humiliation of the stuck couple.

Photo of the three health workers arrested for indiscriminate dumping of medical waste in River State

Three health workers have been arrested by the Monitoring Team of the Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Felix Obuah, over indiscriminate dumping of clinical wastes by the roadside at the Akpajo Roundabout off Oil Mill Junction in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

In a press statement signed by Jerry Needam, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Bro. Felix Obuah, Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) and made available to journalists in Port Harcourt on Monday, Obuah said the health workers were caught dumping some clinical wastes which include syringes, placenta amongst others on the road side.

He said the culprits who worked for a private clinic in the area, identified as Fruitful Maternity and Clinic, were caught in the act and promptly arrested, and handed over to the Police attached to RIWAMA Police for interrogation and prosecution.

The Sole Administrator said investigations by his team revealed that so many clinics, hospitals and health centers in Port Harcourt are culpable in this practice and warned that the Agency is on their trail with a view to bringing them to book.

The RIWAMA boss, while also condemning some traditional delivery homes, who engaged in the unwholesome practice, warned that the Agency would not spare any defaulter caught in the act. He regretted that aside the indiscriminate dumping of clinical wastes, these health workers also dump refuse outside the Agency’s approved dumping hours of 6 pm to 12 midnight.
