When it comes to break-up, the middle belt won't go along with the North - Jerry Gana declares

The Middle Belt region in Nigeria is believed to have the largest number of ethnic groups in the country and Professor Jerry Gana, a former Minister of Information and current National President of the Middle Belt Forum has warned northerners preaching division that if Nigeria breaks, the Middle Belt will not follow them.

Jerry Gana made the declaration on Sunday as he delivered a sermon at the St. Matthew’s Church, Maitama, Diocese of Abuja.

In his words,

'they think when it comes to break-up, we will go along with the North. We have already told them that if they allow this country to break up, we are not going with the North. We are staying where we are. So, just take notice. If it comes to that, we will tell you that you are Arewa and we are ‘Middle-Belters.’He continued to say,

'we love Nigeria and it was changed to a federal system because of the minorities so that we can have a place. So, we love Nigeria but in the unlikely event that people want to go their way, the Arewa in the Sahel will go. But we will remain here in the Federal Republic of Nigeria'.

Lindsey said the gorilla enjoyed watching the videos of baby gorillas and even appeared to make it clear when he wanted to watch a new video by making a swiping motion with his hand

Controversial Ghanaian singer, Wanlov the Kubolor, has revealed he can't go a week without sex but if he has no woman around him he satisfies himself by masturbating.

Wife of President Buhari, Aisha Buhari, is on her way to London to visit her husband, President Buhari, who is currently on medical leave there. According to a statement issued by the director of information, office of the wife of the president, Suleiman Haruna today, Mrs Buhari would stop over at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, en route London.


“She is expected to stop over at Addis Ababa, to make a symbolic appearance at the meeting of the Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA) on Monday 3rd July, 2017. She will join other members to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the organisation and use the opportunity to reiterate the voting rights of Nigeria in the upcoming elections of the organisation. She will continue her journey to the United Kingdom on Tuesday, 4th July, 2017. She will convey to the President the best wishes of Nigerians and their fervent prayers for his quick recovery.”The statement read Mrs Buhari traveled to London to see President Buhari on May 30th and returned to Nigeria on June 6th.

United Airlines plane catches fire during landing at Denver International Airport (Photos)

SkyWest flight 5869 belonging to United Airlines caught fire moments after landing on Sunday afternoon.
59 passengers on board in the SkyWest jet were flying from Aspen to Denver in Colorado when one of the engines on the plane caught fire after landing.
Confirming the incident last night, a spokesperson for the airport wrote on Twitter: 'Arriving SkyWest flight 5869 was reported on fire, all passengers evacuated safely with no injuries. Denver Fire is on scene assessing'


According to the spokesperson, all runways are now open as an investigation into SkyWest fire continues. Other airport operations remain unaffected.

SkyWest in a statement also confirmed that all the 59 passengers were evacuated safely with no injuries.
“After landing safely at Denver, SkyWest Flight 5869, a CRJ700 operating as United Express from Aspen to Denver, experienced engine issues. All 59 passengers safely deplaned the aircraft and were transported to the terminal.”
