The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has arrested three suspected internet fraudsters, at No 24, 1st Avenue, Fort Royal Estate, Airport road, Abuja.

The suspects are; Marvin Nwankwo, Prince Ojenike and Jude Olatekobowale. They created a Facebook account with the following names: Rodney David; David Rodgers and Carlos David, respectively.

A statement released by the antigraft agency says their arrest was based on intelligence report that the suspects turned the said residence as their office, using laptops, phone and other gadgets to defraud innocent people, including foreigners, of their hard earned money and other valuables.

The intelligence further revealed that the suspects aged between 22 to 30 years, used the proceeds of their crimes to acquire different properties such as cars which include a GLK Mercedes Benz SUV, a Toyota Corolla, amongst others.

On receipt of the intelligence report, operatives of the EFCC swung into action and mounted surveillance on the said address, to monitor the activities of the suspects.

After thorough investigations, the suspects were arrested and items, which included several laptops of different makes, very expensive mobile phones, modems, many Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards, amongst others were recovered.

The suspects will soon be charged to court.

In 2013, former governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima married an Egyptian girl reported to be 13 years old then.

In an interview with Daily Trust, Yerima said his wife was not as young as 13-years-old but refused to give her age, saying it was an invasion of her privacy.



As governor of Zamfara state, Yerima introduced the strict enforcement of Islamic law, sharia along with 11 other northern states in 2000.

Police re-arraign Davido's uncle, Ademola Adeleke for exam malpractice

















The Nigerian police today re-arraigned the Osun State governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke, on allegations of examination malpractice.



Adeleke, who was first arraigned on a four-count charge brought against him in September, for alleged conspiracy and impersonation among other offences, was re-arraigned on Tuesday, with the charges increased from four to seven-counts, still bordering on similar offences.



Adeleke has been accused of conspiring to procure illegal examination results with workers at the Ojo-Aro community grammar school and arraigned him along with a principal and three others accused of conspiring to commit the alleged crime. The police force also accused Mr Adeleke of making false documents, regarding his age and violating the exam malpractice act, CAP E15, 2004.



Adeleke, who contested closely with his counterpart from the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Adegboyega Oyetola, is challenging the outcome of the election which saw Oyetola emerge winner, after a declaration by Nigeria’s electoral umpire that the election was inconclusive on September, 22. Adeleke is accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission and the APC of colluding to ensure the candidate of the APC emerges winner in the September elections in the state.

On Tuesday, Manchester United announced they have sacked Jose Mourinho after the club lost 3 - 1 to Liverpool on Sunday.

According to reports, Mourinho arrived at the training ground at 9am on Tuesday - before being called to a face-to-face meeting with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward where he was told he was fired.

The news was then officially confirmed at 9:46 am with the club releasing a statement to announce his dismissal.

United have also announced that the recruitment for a new manager is on while a caretaker manager will be at the helm of affairs for the rest of season. However, sacking Mourinho is going to cost United a fortune as the club might have to dish out an amount close to £24 million (Close to USD 30 million/ Close to Rs 215 crores), as reported by SportsJoe.UK.

Mourinho who was appointed Manager in May 2016, had signed a new contract, earlier this year, of worth £65 million, earning him close to £18 million a year.

However, due to early termination of the contract, United will be paying out a whopping amount of money to the Portuguese

'It is time for the Senate to stand up and speak up in defense of Deji Adeyanju' - Dino Melaye









At plenary today, Senator Dino Melaye spoke on the floor of the house in defense of political activist, Deji Adeyanju, who is currently in detention.



According to the lawmaker, 'this activist was arrested again by the Police, for a matter that took place 18 years ago. The judgement has been given. Deji Adeyanju and two others have been discharged and acquitted by the court. This is not acceptable to me; it should not be accepted by the Senate. It is time for the Senate to stand up and speak up in defense of Deji Adeyanju. We need to defend Deji Adeyanju, as we need to defend every Nigerian'.



Deji Adeyanju was rearraigned before a Wuse magistrate court on Tuesday December 4th, before he was granted bail. Adeyanju, who was arrested on November 28th while leading a protest in Abuja, was released on Monday December 3rd from the federal prison in Keffi after meeting his bail condition but was re-arrested by a police team waiting around the prison.

Photo/video: 39-year-old man dies while hospital waited to receive bank alert before commencing treatment on him in Rivers











A 39-year-old man lost his life in Port Harcourt, Rivers state on Monday night after a hospital delayed in treating him after he was attacked by some hoodlums.

Popular Rivers state comedian, KO baba, who shared the story online, said the deceased, Progress Dennis who was his friend, was returning from a church thanksgiving service when he was attacked by hoodlums along Atillery road. He was rushed to Datta Medical center.

The hospital reportedly asked for N25, 000 deposited before they would commence treatment. A deposit of N30, 000 was made via online transfer but the hospital allegedly refused to commence treatment, insisting they have to see a bank alert for the deposit.

Sadly, Progress bled to death. He was however buried to His friends are demanding for justice.
