Japan hailed as 'an example for all teams' after leaving their dressing room spotlessly clean following World Cup defeat by Belgium (Photos)

The Japanese national team has been hailed as 'an example for all teams' after showing a class of sportsmanship despite their World Cup defeat by Belgium last night at the Rostov Arena.

They were knocked out of the tournament when a late goal from Nacer Chadli in the 94th minutes sealed a 3-2 comeback victory for Belgium.

As revealed by FIFA general coordinator Priscilla Janssens on Twitter, Japan's squad left the tournament on a high note. They left after leaving dressing room spotlessly clean with a note of thanks in Russian.

Sharing a picture of their spotless post-match dressing room, Janssens wrote: 'This is the Japanese dressingroom (sic) after losing to Belgium in the 94' minute.

'Thanked their fans in the stadium, cleaned up everything (bench and dressingroom) and spoke to media. Even left note with 'thank you' in Russian.

'What an example for all teams!! Privilege to work with!'

Their fans were also pictured collecting rubbish in the stands after seeing their side lose to Belgium.

Why Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton can't wear wedges around The Queen

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have strict rules to follow as members of the Royal family, including not wearing wedges around Queen Elizabeth.

Some of the guidelines set for Royals stem from proper etiquette, while others are based solely on the Queen's preferences.

According to Vanity Fair, the strict no wedges policy is dictated entirely by The Queen’s preferences. While this fashion bylaw isn’t official, sources say that neither Meghan Markle nor Kate Middleton will wear wedges around the 92-year-old British monarch.

One source told the outlet: "The Queen isn’t a fan of wedged shoes. She really doesn’t like them and it’s well known among the women in the family."

Although neither the Duchess of Sussex, nor the Duchess of Cambridge, will come before the Queen in wedges, Kate Middleton has been known to wear them on official engagements where the Queen isn't present. Kate sported them during a visit to the Oval Maidan in Mumbai, India during a Royal tour, during a Sports Aid Trust charity event, and during a visit to the Solomon Islands. Meghan, on the other hand, hasn’t been photographed in wedges since joining the Royal family in May 2018.

Nigerian lawyer with 5 law degrees, shares photo of his poor secondary school result as he cautions parents against allowing poor grades define their children

Jake Okechukwu Effoduh, a Nigerian lawyer, has called on Nigerian parents not to allow their children get defined by the grades they obtain while in school.

Jake shared the photo above of his secondary school result in which he failed 9 subjects, including Maths and English Language, and despite the poor grades, has turned out to be a fine lawyer with five law degrees. Read what he wrote on his IG page below

Dear parent, this was me at 12 years old. I failed 9 out of 15 subjects (including Maths and English) from a public school.

This result from 18 years ago didn’t define me then; and it obviously didn’t determine how I turned out. School isn’t a competition, it is a place for learning, play and growth. There’s more to life than an estimation of one’s academic performance. If you ask me: your child’s result should be taken as a receipt that you paid school fees, finish.
I am 30 years old now and I have bagged 5 university degrees in law from several Ivy League schools. This as well, should never matter! Life is not by the “where” and “what” you’ve done for yourself but by who you are and how it affects others.

Ronald finally had surgery performed on him on Sunday, July 1, at a hospital in Abuja after a humanitarian, one Mrs. Uyi, agreed to foot the bills. Mrs Uyi came to the rescue after philanthropist Ukan Kurugh made Ronald's plight public.

According to reports, the surgery was a success and Ronald has been assured by the doctors that his penis will begin to function normally. He is expected to return to the hospital soon for a medical checkup.

''President Buhari loves Nigeria more than himself'' Governor Ganduje

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has described President Buhari as a true democrat who loves Nigeria more than himself.

Governor Ganduje said this at the South-east APC dinner for Mr Buhari which took place in Owerri, the Imo State capital, in the presence of newly emerged leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the region. President Buhari was not at the event.

“Buhari is a symbol of unity. Buhari loves Nigeria more than the way he loves himself. He is too much committed to bringing sustainable development to our dear nation. This dinner in his honour is timely and apt. Before our dear president came in, we had series of bomb attacks all over the North-east. So also in places like Kano, we had terrible experiences. There was a time in Kano when 10 police stations were bombed simultaneously. Over 300 people were killed. We can still remember when there were explosives at Kano Central Mosque, where another set of more than 200 were killed by the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents. But everything is now history. When President Buhari came in now it is a different story. Buhari is absolutely for Nigeria. If we are looking for economic prosperity for the nation, Buhari is the answer. If we are looking for integrity, Buhari is the answer. If we are looking for honesty in the fight against corruption, Buhari is the answer,” he said
