Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present- Yvonne Jegede

Actress Yvonne Jegede took to her IG page to share this beautiful message to everyone. She posted the beautiful photo above and wrote:

Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present. The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward #TheReportOfTheLordIsFinal

Several designers lining up to dress Melania Trump on Inauguration day

Shortly after Trump’s victory in November, designer Sophie Theallet urged her colleagues in the fashion world industry to boycott the Trumps and not to design clothing for or associate with the new First Lady in any way.

“The rhetoric of racism, sexism, and xenophobia unleashed by her husband’s presidential campaign are incompatible with the shared values we live by. I encourage my fellow designers to do the same,” she said. But a number of iconic fashion designers are ignoring her and are reportedly scrambling for the chance to dress future First Lady Melania Trump for Inauguration Day which will take place on January 20, 2017.
New York socialite and philanthropist and Trump family friend Jean Shafiroff, who sits on the Couture Council of The Museum at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, took a poll to determine how interested designers were to dress Mrs. Trump.

Shafiroff told the New York Post that Zac Posen, B. Michael America, Victor de Souza, and Zang Toi are among the designers who say they’d be willing to dress the First Lady to-be. Calvin Klein and Stefano Gabbana have also shown interest in clothing Melania Trump.

De Souza even said he wouldn’t charge the first lady, according to Shafiroff claims.

B. Michael’s has made designs for Cicely Tyson, Beyoncé and Patti LaBelle. The Harlem-based designer told Shafiroff “he’d be honored” to work with the first lady.

“Any designer who dresses her will get enormous press,” Shafiroff said.Last month, designer Calvin Klein said to TMZ "Of course” he would dress Melania Trump. “She’s beautiful.”
Stefano Gabbana (co-founder of Dolce & Gabbana) said he is very willing to dress Melania. He even showed off a dress Melania Trump wore to celebrate the New Year on his page.

The news comes after several world-renowned designers, including Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs, publicly declined to design clothing for Mrs. Trump.

“I have no interest whatsoever in dressing Melania Trump,” Jacobs told WWD in November.

Tom Ford
After Tom Ford's statement, he received huge criticisms from Trump supporters and lots of praises from Anti- Trump supporters.
However, Tom Ford told ELLE.com on the Golden Globes red carpet that he wasn't being biased when he said he wouldn't dress Melania. He said:

"Given this President's beliefs about 'made in America'–I think the clothes they wear should be made in America," "I think that whoever is the President, or the First Lady, should be wearing clothes at a price point that are accessible to most Americans, and wearing clothes made in America.
My clothes are made in Italy, they're very, very expensive. I don't think most women or men in our country can relate to that, and I think the First Lady or the President should represent all people.".
"If you watch that show where I said it, I said I would not have dressed Hillary had she become President."The Team Trump, however, has kept mum about the first lady’s fashion plans for the inauguration but she’s known to be a fan of Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie release first joint statement over divorce case

Hollywood actors, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie released their first joint statement Monday January 9, 2017. In the statement, the estranged couple agreed to seal all court documents pertaining to their divorce in order to protect their six children.

The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification," the couple said in the statement.

Jolie and Pitt have been in the midst of a public divorce and custody battle over their children. While Jolie is seeking physical custody, Brad has requested joint custody.

Pitt and Jolie are currently following an informal custody arrangement in which Jolie retains physical custody and Pitt is given supervised visits.

Kyari never used funds from the Nigerian High Commission's office in the UK for medical treatment- Presidency

The presidency has denied a publication by Sahara Reporters where it alleged that the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Abba Kyari, used funds from the Nigeria High Commission in the UK to settle his medical bills during his last visit to the country in December last year.

Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Buhari, Shehu Garba, denied the claims in a statement released on social media. The Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, did not use the funds of the Nigeria High Commission in London to pay his medical bills during his recent visit for emergency medical treatment.

The allegations contained in a report published by an online news medium, are totally incorrect, misleading and a fabrication. The Nigeria High Commission in London did not at any time ever settle the medical bills or any other bills for that matter as Abba Kyari personally took responsibility for paying his own bills.

This is by the Chief of Staff's choice. He pays for his medicals, his taxi and accommodation in the U.K in spite of the high office he occupies, even when there is no rule that says he cannot be catered for by government. For the records, Kyari was rushed out of Nigeria for an emergency medical treatment on the fateful December 1, 2016. To receive him on arrival, the Wellington Hospital needed to have cash deposited, or in the absence of this, a letter of guarantee.

In order to meet this condition, the Nigeria High Commission in London wrote the Letter of Guarantee to the hospital for treatment to commence. The role of the High Commission didn't involve financial commitments on behalf of Kyari. The Letter of Guarantee from the High Commission was meant to meet the routine requirements of the Wellington Hospital since the patient in question (Kyari) didn't possess the UK National Health Insurance. Apart from senior government officials, other reputable Nigerians are issued with such guarantee letters to hospitals.

A guarantor is not liable unless there is a default, but this wasn't the case with Abba Kyari who paid all his medical bills by himself as he had done on previous occasions. Hospital records are available for verification to show that the Nigeria High Commission in London didn't spend a penny on Kyari, as its involvement didn't go beyond the issuance of the letter of guarantee to the Wellington Hospital.
