35 year after, legendary Swedish group 'ABBA" announce plans to make new songs

On Friday, Sweden’s legendary disco group ABBA announced that they have reunited to record two new songs, 35 years after their last single was released.

“We all four felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio. So we did,” the group said in a statement after repeatedly vowing they would never reunite.

The new songs “I Still Have Faith In You” and “Don’t Shut Me Down” were recorded last summer, the band’s manager Gorel Hanser told TT news agency.

The quartet split up in 1982 after dominating the disco scene for more than a decade with hits like “Waterloo”, “Dancing Queen”, “Mamma Mia” and “Super Trouper”. Members of the group are Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson.

The group, which sold more than 400 million albums, have not sung together publicly since 1986.

Naira Marley first emerged on the U.K. scene with “Marry Juana” in 2014, a lilting summertime bop using clever wordplay to extoll the virtues of weed. Since then, he’s put out a steady stream of tunes straddling both London and Lagos.

His latest single, the delightfully joyous “Issa Goal,” has spawned thousands of videos of fans doing the shaku shaku. The track features guest verses from Nigerian stars Lil Keshand Olamide, and is something of an official-unofficial anthem for Nigeria’s soccer team as it prepares to compete in this summer’s World Cup. Its video is a beautiful, green-and-white celebration in the metropolis of Lagos.

VIDEO: Blackmagic – No Need

This not your typical romantic song but instead an exploration of the complicated layers that are such an intricate part of every love story. All so different, yet so similar at the same time.

Blackmagic’s “No need” explores the often complicated layers of a romantic relationship; unspoken pains and misunderstandings, unexpressed feelings, complicated love.

An inescapable human emotion, love is not always romantic, easy or straightforward
