There’s no better way to celebrate landing the cover of a magazine than by hosting a party and inviting your crew along. Kylie Jenner, who’s on Galore’s September issue, did just that during New York Fashion Week
— which is good timing on her part considering her family and famous
friends are all in town and have no excuse to not show up.
On Monday at Up & Down in Manhattan, Kardashians, Jenners, Hadids, and more of fashion’s elite — CR Fashion Book’s Carine Roitfeld and Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy included — showed up to toast the 18-year-old reality star. And like Marc Jacobs’ bash before it, although certainly not as stringent, there seemed to be a dress code instituted for guests: all black everything.
Kylie,
the night’s honoree, went for faithful Balmain. From Olivier
Rousteing’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection, the mini dress not only featured
sheer swiss dot fabric covering the cutouts, but the satin skirt,
attached by a deep V, also ruched in the front. Meryl Streep actually wore a jumpsuit from the same collection recently, although her incarnation certainly wasn’t as sexy or revealing as Kylie’s.
Kylie’s sister Khloe Kardashian
opted for sheer all over instead of just on the sleeves and stomach.
She wore a nude bodysuit underneath to keep from being completely
exposed.
Kim Kardashian West
showed skin in a more innovative way than sheer in a lace-up front
dress showing off her engorged breasts and a slice of her pregnant
stomach. Thigh-high black leather boots with peep-toes — which look a
lot like the Yeezy pair she wore the other day just in a different color and fabric — completely covered her legs and she kept warm with a jacket draped over her shoulders.
